A very rare large mid-19th Century George Wostenholm Bowie Knife, with profusely engraved 10" blade, with sterling silver escutcheons, and bone handle and with original scabbard, with nickel mounts, and stamped IxXL. (1)* Arguably Sheffield's finest cutler, forever associated with the IxXL Bowies of the Great American Bowie Knife Era. The blade inscribed 'The United States, the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, Protected by her noble and brave Volunteers.'

George IV sword with brass hilt and shark skin wire twist grip with leather and brass scabbard (at fault), and another sword with plated pierced basket and shark skin wire twist grip with engraved blade and metal scabbard (at fault)First sword is jammed into the scabbard and would need some work to free it. Scabbard does have dents and is bent out of shape. Grip wires are not in tact. Pommel does have jiggle. Obviously we cannot tell the condition or give dimensions for the blade of the sword jammed in scabbard but the other measures 33ins.
