Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren.| Mixed lot of 3 pieces TIBET, 1st half 20th cent: 1st) Khuhuri magnificent dagger. Curved knife with wooden handle and two by-knives. The silver-plated scabbard is decorated in relief with fish and a dragon on a vine background and set with coloured stones, l: 43 cm. 2nd) Pair of cymbals (tingshag) made of brass, with a leather band, in a metal lidded box decorated with the eight Buddhist symbols, diameter of the box 8.5 cm. 3rd) Shell horn (shanka). Shell partly encased in embossed metal with turquoise and coral trimming, l: approx. 21 cm. Acquired in Ladakh/India. Signs of age and wear in places.

dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Ceylon, Solid, single-edged iron blade with deep groove near the back. Covered with a silver element richly engraved with floral motifs at the base. Maritime-ivory hilt (with certificate) finely sculpted with curls and foliage with beautiful silver mounts decorated en suite, two birds under the pommel. Wooden scabbard carved with grooves and worked in two parts, silver-foil cap decorated in filigree (damage and missing parts). With certificate of the grip material. length 28.2 cm.

dating: Late 19th Century provenance: Tibet, Straight blade with remains of forging line, featuring some pitting. Small iron quillon decorated with longitudinal grooves and with remains of gilding. Beautiful ring nut and pommel, also of iron, engraved with pierced racemes and gilded. The pommel also decorated with a coral cabochon. Wooden grip. Leather scabbard covered with red cloth and completely bordered with iron bands that converge at the chape in a single hilt, inside which is also inserted a thin sheet decorated with pierced racemes en suite with the dagger. All the mounts on the front side with gilding. In the centre also three large jade and coral cabochons. Provided with an expert's report for Cites purposes which certifies its production before 1947, it therefore complies with European rules for the trade of protected species. length 46 cm.

dating: End of 19th beginning of 20th Century provenance: North Africa, Double-edged blade made of copper, with round tip and long tang, completely gilded (small missing parts) with an inscription in Arabic 'sana’at ghat libya' (Manufactured in Ghat, Libya) inside a frame followed by decorations depicting small circles at the first part of the right side. With geometric decorations on the other side . Copper hilt with quillon inclined towards the blade with a stylized animal's head. Rectangular loop-guard with rounded corners and decorated with small circles. Pommel featuring a star within a stylized crescent. Handle covered with copper foil and decorated in bas-relief. Copper scabbard engraved, embossed and pierced with geometric motifs. Two suspension rings. length 89.5 cm.

C.', hilt with leaves and handle with two busts in relief between floral motifs. Scabbard worked en suite, richly carved with figures, a lion, a castle, a man on horseback, a prisoner in chains, several shields with coat of arms and others. Six suspension rings. length 91 cm.

Tang pierced, carved and engraved with a torch between two wings, flames made of copper. The following part pierced at the centre with a long arrow and toothed semicircles. Finely carved, iron knot. Octagonal, wooden grip with silver mounts, front and back bands with floral and heart inlays, side bands with floral, heart and half-moon inlays, intertwined staves at the corners, outlined cap (small pitting) and ring nut. Wooden scabbard covered with blue velvet (completely frayed) and with engraved, silver-foil mounts (detached chape), belt hook. High quality. Provenance: De Simone Collection. length 32.6 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Austria, Beautiful, curved, single-edged blade, with hollow tip and a barely hinted yelman, thickened back. The forte engraved with remains of gilding. On both sides a Turk's head, stars, crescents, trophies. With fasces on the right side. The back with gilded and engraved laurel fronds in the first part; the tang completely gilded. Steel hilt. The parry quillon with double open-work for the sword knot. Flat guard, above it three loop guards arranged in two separate blocks: pulling the outermost one, the others automatically rotates forming a cage-shaped guard. Long smooth cap. Fish-skin handle without wire binding. Iron scabbard with two lugs. length 104 cm.

dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: France, Straight blade of hexagonal section, with fuller on three-quarter of its length, with remains of marks at the forte. Gilt brass hilt. Shell-guard depicting an old-fashioned warrior on a trophy of spears, Roman standards and fasces of lictors, two lions at each end. Guard decorated with leaves in relief. Fine pommel worked in the shape of a lion's head. Mother-of-pearl grips (small damaged and missing parts). Leather scabbard (signs of use and time) with gilt brass mounts. length 101 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: France, Massive, curved single-edged blade (two pitting near the weak) made of fine damask. Oriental-style hilt made of gilded silver with finely engraved cross-shaped quillon with floral motifs in bas-relief on a granulated ground. Frame engraved with floral motifs, pommel and quillon are connected by a chain of engraved rings. Ivory grip scales with angled pommel and gilded fishbone decoration on the edge. Leather-covered, wooden scabbard stitched with metal wire, featuring magnificent gilt silver mounts decorated en suite with the hilt. Two suspension rings on convex bands with the same decoration as the quillon block. Complete with red rope clutches. The sabre is provided with a Cites certificate (only valid within the EU). length 98.5 cm.

dating: circa 1900 provenance: British Empire, Slightly curved, single-and short false-edged blade, with three-quarter of fuller. Bearing in the centre, inside the fuller, remains of engraving. On the right side remains of cartouche 'NATAL CARABINEERS' within racemes; at the tang brass mark within a six-pointed star. On the left side remains of the monogram surmounted by the royal crown, within racemes. Iron hilt with three loop-guards. Fish-skin grip with metal wire binding. Long, partially checkered cap. Some pitting. Iron scabbard with two lugs and with brass mouthpiece. length 103 cm.

dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: British India, Wide, curved, single-and-false-edged blade, with wide fuller at the center, the first part engraved and gilded on a blue background with sun, trophies, star with book and floral motifs; the base marked 'WOOLLEY and Co. Sword Cuttlers to the Hon.ble East India Comp.y'. The second part etched with sun, stars, winged fasces and with thunderbolts, trophies and floral motifs up to the first part of the weak. One-quillon, gilded metal hilt, provided with langets, cap carved like horsehair, faceted grip back. Wooden grip with remains of fish skin covering and metal wire binding. Re-gilded, iron scabbard without suspension rings (pertinent?). length 96 cm.
