79.25cm fullered blade etched with scrolling foliage, crowned Royal arms and crowned fouled anchor, regulation gilt hilt incorporating a crowned fouled anchor, lion's head pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, in its engraved gilt mounted leather scabbard, complete with bag. Label attached to bag states sword of my Uncle Nigel Nicholl-Carne died November 1911.
40cm blade by Horster, etched with hunting scenes, a stand of arms and the Association emblem, regulation white metal mounted hilt, the downturned shell guard with enamelled DEUTSSCHER SCHUTZEN VERBAND badge, reeded white celluloid grip applied with gilt crossed rifles, reeded pommel, in its nickel mounted leather scabbard.
89cm curved blade retaining some original polish, some slight staining, British Liege inspector’s Acceptance stamp over S & K (Schnitzler & Kirschbaum) maker’s stamp, double broad arrow "Sold out of Stores" stamp on blade, the back edge stamped with Prussian Crown over FW over 50 (Friedrich Wilhelm IV, King of Prussia, issued 1850), contained in its heavy steel scabbard. This sword was originally produced as an experimental one and issued to only about one squadron of the Prussian Guard Hussar Regt, perhaps only about 160 or less of these swords were made. It was rejected, and sold to Britain as an emergency weapon for the Crimean War. COMMANDER OF BOMBAY , ETC BY THE OFFICERS AND MEMBERS OF MOUNT ZION ENCAMPMENT AND PRIORY AS A TOKEN OF GRATITUDE FOR HIS ABLE SERVICES WHILE EC AND EP IN 1870, maker's panel for Joseph Starkey, characteristic gilt brass hilt profusely decorated with Society motifs in mixed enamels, crown pommel, hollow spiral ivory grip, in its scroll engraved gilt brass mounted velvet wrapped wooden scabbard. One acorn missing from back.
32c, flattened diamond section fullered blade, characteristic hilt, with two-piece horn grips secured with domed rivets, in its steel mounted wooden scabbard, together with a 19th Century Indian Scissors katar, decorated with scrolling foliage in silver damascene, in its cloth covered wooden scabbard. The blade of the katar has been snapped off and is missing. (2)
30cm blade etched with a panel of scrolling foliage and thistles on either side, regulation white metal mounted hilt, the pommel cast with a Queen's crown, carved basket weave wooden grip set with white metal studs, in its white metal mounted leather wrapped wooden scabbard decorated to match, together with a white metal mounted sgian dubh. 25.5cm flattened diamond section blade, regulation plated hilt with wire bound grip, in its plated steel scabbard complete with hanging chains. While not conforming to the standard production dagger this piece has many similarities and appears genuine. The quality of the fittings and chain are good and this piece appears to be one of a few similar examples, all with slight variations that would suggest that this is some form of prototype (?).
81cm fullered blade, half-basket hilt with large pierced scallop-form fore-guard and matching smaller rear guard, pierced D-shaped knuckle guard decorated to match and supported by scroll supports, large bold lion's head pommel, wire bound grip with turk's heads, contained in its leather wrapped wooden scabbard, later chape and throat lacking. Circa 1760. See Laking No.775 Basket hilted sword of the 1st Troop 1750 - 1780. See also page 206 British Basket-Hilted Swords by Mazansky for an illustration and description of an identical sword in the Royal Armouries IX.1397.

79cm incurved triangular section blade engraved with trophies of arms and foliage, plain copper gilt hilt with replacement pierced pommel, the wire bound fishskin grip applied with copper plaque engraved with crossed fouled anchors, contained in its leather scabbard with copper gilt mounts, the locket signed Salter, Sword Cutler to H.R.H. The Duke of Sussex, corner of the Adelphi, 73 Strand, London. Lower half of scabbard missing.

60.5cm curved fullered blade, double edged towards the tip, etched KHP No.9 which is believed to be for HMP Kennet, the back edge etched with a maker’s panel for Greaves & Co, regulation brass hilt with D-shaped knuckle guard, push button release, ribbed fishskin grip, in its brass mounted leather scabbard.
81cm clean curved clipped back blade, etched with scrolling foliage, laurel wreaths and stands of arms, maker's panel for Garden & Son, 200 Piccadilly, London, characteristic hilt, the guard chiselled and pierced with stylised foliate designs, two-piece riveted ivory grips, in its copper gilt mounted steel scabbard.
