A Royal Navy Officer's sword, the sword features a brass hilt, with embossed Royal Navy insignia, shark-skin grip and brass pommel in the form of a lion, the inner side of guard is hinged so that it can be folded down to engage with pin on the scabbards top mount, the engraved blade features an anchor and emblem amidst a foliate design, the scabbard made of leather with brass mounts.

Poole & Co., Savile Row, London, the brass hilt with crown terminal and beaded borders, with original brass mounted leather scabbard and accompanying book (see below). (2) * Provenance: Formerly the property of William Stephen Holley (1920-2005), Private Secretary to H. E. The Governor of Borneo, Sir Ralph Hone in the early 1950s and later appointed Head of the Civil Service in 1964. Author of 'A White Headhunter in Borneo', pub. 2004.
An English 19th century cut steel court sword, the decorated steel hilt with fluted guard with rivetted and egg and dart decoration, the triangular 30¾in. blade decorated with etched floral decoration to the top half, unsigned, with black leather scabbard with cut steel fittings. * Condition: Some surface rust to hilt but should clean well. Blade has a few fairly light surface rust patches, but fairly clean overall. Scabbard is borken in two at the centre, and has some surface rust to the fittings.
A mid-20th century Civil Service court sword, the 31in. steel blade with etched George VI crown cypher and foliage, by Austin Reed, 103-113 Regent St. W.1., the brass hilt with crown terminal and beaded borders, with original brass mounted leather scabbard. * Condition: The blade has some small rust marks which have been polished. Good overall. Scabbard has fold with slight split towards top. Otherwise good.
