A 19th century 1796 pattern light officers cavalry sword, with a wire bound leather grip and curved blade, with GR cypher, inscribed UNDERHILL & COOPER, in an iron scabbard, 93cm longOverall looks to be complete. Generally dirty. The etched decoration to the blade is rubbed. The sharp edge is chipped and has been heavily sharpened. Grip is worn and marked. Scabbard is rusted and marked with age. Blade 79cm long, scabbard 81cm long. Blade  32mm wide at the ricasso.

Blade is slightly worn and pitted and measures 77cm long. Collected from a local estate, so unrestored. Scabbard has been damaged, repaired and coloured over, probably not recently.

No makers name visible on the blade.
