Some surface staining to the blade and overall wear to the exterior fittings but generally still a good example. Blade measures 22cms, overall 37cms.

Top and lower handle fittings are loose. Housed in its original anodised scabbard with both top and lower chape. Blade with motto “Alles fur Deutschland”. Reverse of the blade has the makers stamp for August Merten Ww Solingen. Some staining to the blade but generally still in good condition. Blade measures 22 ¼ cms, dagger overall 37cms.

Third Reich SA Dagger by Very Rare Maker E Bonsmann Solingen, good untouched example having the wooden handle with SA eagle and enamel SA device inserted. Good early type fittings with the lower cross guard stamped with gau mark “Nm”. The lower cross guard and top scabbard chape are also engraved with the original owners service number “23417”. Housed in its original scabbard with single hanging ring. Blade has standard motto, “Alles fur Deutschland”, reverse side with makers trade mark of the three anchors for E Bonsmann Solingen. Some surface staining to the blade but generally still in good condition. Blade measures 22cms, dagger overall 36 ¾ cms. It is believed that this maker was only contracted to make around 1,000 SA daggers throughout the entire production run, making daggers by this maker one of the hardest to find.

Third Reich SA Dagger by Gebr Bohme Nachfl Brotterode, superb untouched example with the brown wooden grip having eagle and enamel SA device inserted. The lower guard is stamped to the reverse “Sa”. Attached to the grip is a officers bullion wire portepee which appears to have been on the dagger for a long time. Dagger is housed in the original anodised scabbard with short pattern leather hanger attached. Double edged blade which remains in near mint condition with all the blacking in the motto and all the original polish and cross graining. Makers trade mark to the reverse of the blade Gebr Bohme Nachfl Brotterode. The blade measures 21 ½ cms, overall 37 ½ cms. An excellent example overall.

Third Reich SA Dagger by Richard Pluemacher Sohn, with wooden grip having eagle and enamel SA device. Reverse of the lower guard is stamped “Ns”. Housed in its original painted scabbard. Fine double edged blade with much of the original finish to the motto, “Alles fur Deutschland”. Reverse has makers mark RZM M7/83, for Richard Pluemacher Sohn Solingen. Blade measures 22cms, overall 37 ½ cms. Generally good example.

Housed in black anodised scabbard with nickel mounts, scabbard mounts slight discolouration from grip mounts. Single leather short hanger attached to the scabbard. Near mint condition double edged blade with etched motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue”. Much of the original polish and cross graining remains to the blade. Reverse of the blade has cross keys makers trade mark of F Herder A.S Solingen. Blade measures 22cms, overall 37cms.

Third Reich SS Enlisted Mans Dress Dagger with Vertical Hanger by Carl Eickhorn, fine example having ebony grip with eagle and enamel SS emblem inserted. Nickel silver grip mounts with the reverse of the cross guard being stamped “II”. Housed in its original scabbard with mounts. Attached to the scabbard is a black leather vertical hanger, with the top clip being stamped RZM M5/71 and OLC in diamond. The double edged blade remains in very good condition with much of the original finish remaining. Etched with motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue”. Reverse side has Carl Eickhorn Solingen makers trade mark. Blade measures 21 ½ cms, overall 37 ½ cms.

Third Reich SS Officers Chained Dress Dagger, fine example of a 1936 pattern SS officers dress dagger having black ebony grip with eagle and early copper based enamel SS runes inserted. Un-marked top and lower grip mounts. Scabbard having hanging chains with SS runes acceptance stamp to the reverse. Attached to the grip is a replaced officers dress portepee. Near mint condition blade which retains much of the original polish and cross graining. Correct un-maker marked blade. Etched motto “Meine Ehre heist Treue”. Some small dents to the lower scabbard mount but generally a very good example of an SS officers dress dagger.

1st Model German Naval Officers Dress Dagger and Award Grouping Attributed to Vice Admiral (Vizeadmiral) Ernst (Friedrich Robert) Scheurlen, who was Killed on 8th April 1945, grouping consisting of a 1st model German naval officers dress dagger with flame pommel top, white celluloid grip retaining the wire binding, cross guard with press button release and dress portepee attached. Housed in its original deluxe pattern hammered scabbard with the original naval short and long hangers attached. Blade by Horster with sailing ship etched blade. The blade and fittings appear to be in very good condition. Accompanied by a post war blued blade presentation naval dagger in the form of the 2nd pattern Kriegsmarine Officers dagger, this example is also housed in a hammered scabbard. The daggers are mounted with his original awards from both WW1 and WW2, these consist of Imperial Iron Cross 1st class, Imperial Iron Cross 2nd class, Wurttemberg Friedrich Order 2nd class medal with swords, German Cross in gold (Deutsche Kreuz), Bar to the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd class, War Service Cross 1st class with swords, Coastal Artillery war badge, Krim campaign shield, 1914-18 Honour Cross, Austro Hungarian WW1 service medal, Bulgarian service medal and various miniature stick pin awards. Also mounted with the items is a Kriegsmarine officers breast eagle and studio portrait of Scheurlen in full uniform. Typed signed letter from his wife, Frau Else Scheurlen, accompanies the grouping. The set is all mounted into a large glass display frame. The frame measures 68 x 82 ½ cms. Vice Admiral Scheurlen was born in Strasbourg on 5th December 1892. He served during WW1 but rose through to Vice Admiral in the German Kriegsmarine becoming commander of the Naval forces in Southern France, he was commander when the allied forces launched Operation Dragoon. He was moved back to Germany and his last command was that of the 2nd Marine Division in February 1945. The division fought against the British forces on the Western Front in Germany and he was killed in action on the 8th April 1945. Please note C&T Auctioneers and Valuers Ltd, have not been able to remove items from the frame to inspect, but all appear to be as we have stated. Sold on this basis.

Dagger is housed in a deluxe pattern scabbard with fine relief of oak leaves and acorns. The hanging rings are also with oak leaves relief. Standard etched blade with central double fuller and WKC knights helmet trade mark to the base. The blade measures 25cms, overall 42cms. Generally a good example of a scarce variation German naval dagger.

Scarce Unit Marked Luftwaffe Officers Dress Sword by SMF Solingen, fine example of an aluminium mounts officers dress sword with much of the gilt wash finish remaining to the mobile swastika in the top pommel and on the cross guard. Underside of the cross guard is engraved with unit details “1.FL. KP. Nr 26”Blue leather covered grip retaining the original aluminium wire binding. Blue leather covered scabbard with aluminium top and lower mounts. Attached to the rear of the scabbard is the original blue leather half moon hanger with aluminium fitting. Fine double edged plain blade with central fuller. SMF Solingen makers trade mark to the base of the blade. Some light surface staining to the blade but generally good condition. The blade measures 71 ½ cms, overall 92 ¼ cms. Unit markings also engrave to the top of the scabbard throat mount.

The miniature sword is produced in the same way as the full size version. Blue leather covering to the grip and scabbard. Blade with Alcoso Solingen makers trademark. Remains in very good overall condition. Blade measures 15 ¾ cms, overall 26 ¼ cms. Base measures 19 ¾ cms x 3 ¾ cms.

Brass based flat top pommel with mobile swastika to both sides, cross guard with mobile swastikas to the centre of each side. Housed in original blue leather covered scabbard with metal fittings and rings for the attachment of hanging chains. Dagger is fitted with a post war blade with blued presentation panel. Exterior fittings show some wear and tarnishing.

Rare Third Reich DLV Long Model Dress Dagger by Paul Weyersburg, fine example having blue leather covered grip, flattened top pommel with gilt mobile swastika, cross guard with gilt mobile swastikas to each side. Housed in its original thin pattern scabbard, rear of scabbard mounts with thick staples which is typical of the DLV daggers. Scabbard retains the blue leather covering. Attached to the scabbard is the chains with clip fitting stamped “D.R.G.M 926719”. Long plain double edged blade with Paul Weyersburg makers trademark to the base of the blade. The blade measures 39cms, overall 54 ½ cms. Dagger remains in generally good overall condition. This dagger was only in production for a very short period of time, 1934-36, it is believed that production was cancelled due to its un-popularity, with many officers complaining about the size of the dagger and many chose to shorten it to the standard Luftwaffe 1st pattern size.

Nickel silver top pommel and cross guard with short wing eagle and voided swastika. Housed in the original correct pattern scabbard with black leather covering and nickel silver mounts. Mint condition blade retaining nearly all the original polish and cross graining. Paul Weyersberg & Co, Solingen makers trade mark to the base of the blade. Dagger is accompanied by the very rare original leather hanging straps complete with the metal clip fittings. Reverse of the top hanger clip is stamped RZM M5/10. Dark patina to the dagger fittings. Blade 24cms, overall 39cms. Very good example of this scarce dress dagger.

WW2 German Army Artillery Presentation Sword by WKC, fine example of the standard pattern Artillery officers dove head pattern sword with plated white metal plain guard, langet and backstrap. Black celluloid grip retaining the original wire binding. Housed in its correct pattern scabbard with single hanging ring. Curved single edged blade which has fuller to back edge and is etched with foliage, NSDAP style eagle, crossed rifles behind German helmet and blued central panel with in gothic script “Stab Art Regt.22”, rear of the blade etched with scene of a horse drawn artillery gun team, foliage, German army eagle and crossed swords behind helmet. WKC makers trade mark to the base of the blade. The blade measures 83 ½ cms, overall 99cms. Some rusting to the scabbard but otherwise a very nice presentation sword.

Housed in the original black painted scabbard. Partially double edged blade with fuller to back edge and one side having etched panel with “Fur Erinnerung an Meine Dienstzeit” and scenes of a machine gun team, artillery gun crew and panzer tank. Trade mark for F W Holler Solingen to the base of this side of the blade. Reverse of the blade is plain but for “JOH HALL DONAUESCGINGEN”. Blade remains in good condition. Blade measures 19 ½ cms, overall 35cms. Some paint loss to the scabbard but overall a good example.

Opposite side of the blade has makers trade mark for Carl Eickhorn Solingen. Blade retains much of the original polish. Blade 20cms, overall 34 ¾ cms.

Enamel HJ diamond insignia inserted to the centre of grip. Housed in its original black painted steel scabbard with leather belt attachment strap. Press button stamped “STOCKO”. Good condition blade without motto, having makers trade mark figure of a knight to one side and the other side with RZM M7/51/38. The blade remains in very good overall condition. Third Reich Red Cross (D.R.K) Officers Dress Dagger with Hanging Straps, fine example with orange celluloid grip, pommel with securing screw to the top. Cross guard having emblem of the German Red Cross to the centre. Housed in the original scabbard with the hanging strap mounts being rectangular as opposed to circular, which is associated with Social Welfare daggers. Attached to the grip is a officers bullion embroidered dress portepee, not the DRK type with fleck. Accompanying the dagger is an original set of hanging straps for a Red Cross / Social Welfare officers dagger, being brown velvet backed with bullion wire work tops. Metal clip on the straps stamped “DRGM”. Near mint condition double edged blade retaining much of the original finish and cross graining. Blade measures 24 ½ cms, overall 38 ¼ cms. Very good example.

Rare Third Reich TENO (Technische Nothilfe) Leaders Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, very good example of the rare leaders dress dagger for the German Technical Organisation “TENO”. The dagger has correct disc top pommel with cog wheel emblem to the centre, thick orange celluloid grip and crossguard with eagle and swastika having Teno insignia to centre. Housed in its original scabbard with much of the original blackened finish remaining. Tied to the grip is an original officers pattern dress portepee. Blade and top scabbard mount stamped with matching numbers, “2273”. Plain double edged blade retaining much of the original cross graining and just some slight spotting to the surface. Reverse of the blade has Carl Eickhorn makers mark and Teno eagle with “GES GESCH”. Blade 28cms, overall 43cms. Some plating lifting to the exterior fittings but generally a very good example of a rare dress dagger.

Third Reich Rural Police Bayonet / Dagger by Carl-Julius Krebs, fine example having two piece stag horn grips, aluminium police eagle inserted to the centre. Eagle head pommel and guard with oak leaves relief. Housed in its original brown anodised scabbard with white metal top and lower fittings. Attached to the scabbard is its original large type brown leather frog with feint remains of markings to the reverse. Plain blade with fuller to the back edge. Makers trade mark for Carl-Julius Krebs Solingen. Blade measures 24 ½ cms, overall (not including frog) 40cms.

Rare Third Reich Water Protection Police (Wasserschutzpolizei) Officers Dress Dagger with Matching Hanging Straps by E & F Horster Solingen, good example with gilt flame top pommel, blue leather covered grip with copper wire binding, not Police eagle appears to have ever been present, standard naval pattern cross guard with press button to the reverse. Housed in its original brass scabbard with two hanging rings. Double edged blade with etched foliage and anchor to both sides of the blade. E & F Horster makers trade mark to the base. Blade retains much of the original polish. Accompanying the dagger is a very rare pair of the full dress hanging straps for the Water Protection Police with gilt metal fittings and gold wire brocade on black velvet backing. Much of the gilt wash to the fittings has worn with just remains still visible, mostly on the buckle fittings. The dagger blade measures 25cms, overall 40 ½ cms.

Third Reich Postschutz (Postal Protection) Dress Dagger by Paul Weyersburg, good example with black ebony handle having original metal organisations emblem attached. Original top pommel and stylised eagle cross guard with black enamel swastika to the centre of both sides. Housed in the original scabbard with metal chains and correct pattern clip fitting marked on the reverse DRGM. Under the cross guard is stamped 117 and DRP. Blade remains in very good condition with some of the original cross graining remaining, some light surface stains. Base of the blade has Paul Weyersberg & Co Solingen makers trade mark. Some paint loss to the scabbard but overall a good example of this scarce dress dagger.

Third Reich Forestry Association Cutlass / Dagger by F W Holler, fine example of the gilded allow forestry hanger with two piece stag horn grips having three gilt brass acorns to each side. Lower section of the hilt has NSDAP style short winged eagle with swastika. Guard with relief of oak leaves and acorns with the finial being a down turned hoof, clamshell front with relief of a grazing stag. Housed in its original leather and gilt brass mounted scabbard with short pattern leather hanging frog. Reverse of the hanger has a period initial badge “R”. Rear of the scabbard mounts have thick staple securing pin. Partially double edged blade which is etched with foliage, animals and crossed hunting rifles etc. Blade has F W Holler Solingen makers trade mark to the base. Some light staining to the blade. The blade measures 29 ½ cms, overall 43cms.

German Hunting Association Cutlass / Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, interesting hunting hanger with stag horn grip having fitted a Third Reich period Hunting Association membership badge. Cross guard in “S” shape in the form of stags hoofs. Clamshell with relief of pheasant. Housed in original leather scabbard with white metal scabbard mounts having etched hunting scene decoration. Small pattern leather hanger attached to the scabbard. Blade deeply etched with hunting scenes to both sides. Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark to the base of the blade. Generally in good condition. Blade measures 25 ½ cms, overall 44 ½ cms. We are of the opinion that this dagger was made in the post war years and the Third Reich period insignia was added at a later date. Sold on this basis.

Rare Free City of Danzig Land Customs Officials Dress Dagger with Hanging Straps by Carl Eickhorn, standard Third Reich type customs dress dagger but the cross guard has the eagle polished out and reverse has the coat of arms of the Free City. Green leather covered grip with original wire binding, aluminium army style pommel and ferrel with oak leaves design. Standard land customs pattern scabbard with green leather covering between the metal fittings. Attached to the scabbard is an original pair of green velvet backed land customs hanging straps with metal clip fittings. Plain double edged blade with Carl Eickhorn Solingen makers trade mark to the base. The blade measures 25cms, overall 40cms. Some plating lifting to the fittings and scuffing to the leather. The Free City of Danzig existed between 1920 and 1939. It was created after the treaty of Versailles in 1919. The region was in between Germany and Poland, but 98% of the population were German, 1% Polish and 1% other. The city was not part of Germany or Poland, but once Germany invaded Poland the region was incorporated into Danzig-West Prussia. Many of the Polish and Jewish citizens of the city and surrounding areas were forced into slave labour or sent to concentration camps. At the end of the war the city was heavily engaged and many of its German citizens were forced to flee the Soviet Russian Red Army, those who stayed were harshly treated or killed. At the end of the war Danzig became part of Poland.

Matching Numbers K98 Bayonet, good untouched example with two piece wooden slab grips. Housed in its original scabbard with period battle damage. Cut down leather frog attached to the scabbard. Top of the blade and scabbard stamped “6910”. Reverse of blade with “42 asw”. Blade with fuller to the back edge. Much of the original blueing remains to the blade. The blade measures 25 ½ cms, overall 40 ½ cms.

Housed in its original scabbard with leather frog attached. Blade with Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark and fuller to the back edge. Blade 24cms, overall 41 ½ cms.

Third Reich K98 Bayonet, with two piece wooden grips, housed in scabbard with leather bayonet frog attached. The top pommel and the blade have been etched post-war with details of Waffen-SS division Der Fuhrer. Bayonet is non-matching numbers.

Housed in its original scabbard with hanging rings. Attached to the scabbard is a original pair of the blue backed officers hanging straps with silver wire brocade. Near mint condition double edged blade with etched decoration to both sides. The blade measures 25cms, overall 40cms.
