The habaki numbered beside a circular motif similar to that of the Koishikawa Arsenal; the blade with both worn romanised inscription and worn armorial device. Overall length about 66.5 cm longThe Property of a Lady. From a Private UK. Collection.Similar hybrid edged weapons in the Japanese style are known. See for example 'Military Swords of Japan, 1868-1945' by Richard Fuller and Ron Gregory [1986] where on page 75 the authors discuss a Japanese style dagger that they attribute to the Armed Forces of The Guomindang.
