Condition Report: not only is the scabbard tired but tarnished too. The bottom of the scabbard has gone , the the stitching has rotted hence it is behaving like a peeled banana. The good news is that apart from very minor surface rust spots there is nothing nasty here. The silvered finish is missing from the lower 2 " and the blade needs a buff up, again nothing nasty but is till a minor fauls that should be known

Rare Ottoman sword, Kilij, Pala, decorated with diamonds, corals and turquoise, Turkey, Trabzon, around 1800. Curved forged steel blade with yalman. The hilt and scabbard are made of brass, richly decorated with stones and chased floral decoration. The stones were partially restored due to losses. Similar Ottoman sabers from Trabzon are very rarely sold at auctions and are very popular among collectors of Ottoman antique weapons. length 89 cm.

RARE HUNTING KNIFE, DECORATED WITH GOLD AND BLUE, RUSSIAN EMPIRE, ZLATOUST, 1889. The blade is steel, curved, with one fuller on each side. At the base of the blade there are inscriptions, Zlatoust and 1889. On both sides the blade is richly decorated with engraved floral patterns, gilding and blueing. The handle and metal fittings of the scabbard are made of iron decorated with engraved floral patterns and gilding. On the top of the handle there is the inscription ZOF. The scabbard is made of wood and covered with black leather with traces of use. The item is in excellent condition except for minor damage to the leather on the sheath. A very rare item in good condition. length 36 cm.

Gorgeous Napoleonic Saber for Cavalry Officer, An XI, France, First Empire, Early 19th century. The steel curved blade has one wide fuller on each side. The brass hilt covers half the grip and divides in three wavy quillons which end at the cross-guard. The cross-guard includes an almond-shape applique designed to connect the scabbard to the hilt. The wooden handle is covered with engraved geometric designs and has cracks from age. The steel scabbard mounts brass fittings with decor in fine condition. A beautiful collectible saber from the Napoleonic era. Length 104 cm.
Beautiful Mughal shamshir with wootz blade and golden kofgari, 18-19 century. The steel hilt chiseled and heavily overlaid in silver, with fine floral panels inlaid in gold, the integral knuckelbow terminating in a pair of well-chiseled monsterÕs heads. The massive, curved, double-edged blade of dramatically undulating form, forged of fine, Persian wootz steel and lavishly inlaid in gold vinework for its entire length on either side. The scabbard is made of wood covered with green velvet with a metal ending decorated with gold kofgari. Late 18th - early 19th century. Light wear to blade. Overall length 98.4 cm. By Henry Wilkinson, with 82.5cm etched steel blade, initialled FJJ? and serial number 17057, the gothic brass hilt with crowned VR monogram and wire bound fish skin grip, with steel scabbard, length 100.5cm.The scabbard is rusted.The tip of the blade is a little pitted, and there are also a couple of tiny nicks on the blade. There appears to be a slight dent on the hilt.
