The blade with etched and gilt filled floral panels. Similar decoration to the forte with “Artilleria Fabrica De Toledo”. 9 /12 inch, steel crossguard. Steel bowl guard with floral etching. Steel pommel. Copper wire bound grip with steel edge bars. Still retains its steel scabbard throat with floral etching. Fine quality made piece.

A Third Reich “Prinz Eugen” pattern Army officer’s sword of the type favoured by Waffen SS officers, plated blade 32½” with post 1941 Eickhorn mark, the grey metal hilt retaining traces of gilding, and with wire bound black plastic covered grip, in its black painted steel scabbard, GC; together with 3 photo copies of photographs including a group taken at P.O.W. camp Danzig which includes L/Cpl L.G. Parsons, to whom this sword was given on the liberation of the camp, and “Standing Orders Governing the wearing of Clothing and Equipment”, the cover bearing the regimental badge of The Buffs, and inscribed to L/Cpl. A George V 1897 pattern Indian Army Infantry officer’s levee sword, the slender Victorian blade 32” by Henry Wilkinson, numbered 24787 (1882), etched with panels of scrolled foliage, crowned “VR” cypher, crown over vacant shield and strung bugle, and near the forte “T. Riley from HA”, with regulation pattern steel hilt bearing crowned “GRI” cypher, in its leather covered FS scabbard. Generally GC (dark patina to hilt and blade, scabbard leather split and worn. Presumably a re-hilted family blade. £100-150

A 1908 India Pattern cavalry trooper’s sword, the blade marked “WILKINSON PALL MALL”, inspector’s marks, date “5 “19" and “IP 08” on the back edge, the underside of the guard having Wilkinson “WSC” mark, the upper side stamped “H.XI”, with black dermatine grip, in its scabbard, the top mount stamped “AYC” and government sale mark. General wear throughout, one of them has black tape holding the handle on to the blade, both blade edges have been heavily over polished.
