Victorian officer's sword, Regulation Infantry Sword 1892 Pattern, formerly the property of Capt. F. Amber, 2nd Lancashire Fusiliers, by Wilkinson Sword 13 January 1893, no.31938, in leather scabbard, 99cm long, Major F. Amber is mentioned in The London Gazette, February 8, 1901, with supporting paperwork,. Wear to the grip and handguard, plate wearing through in places, sword blade tarnished, slight sign of oxidisation, leather sheath various scratches, loss of colour and scuffs.
WWII Interest A Rare German SS Officers Sword With Scabbard And Original SS Portepee And Felt Sword Case. Officers sword in wonderful condition comprising ebony grip wrapped with single strand wire, forming 13 bands; The grip fitted with circular silver Runic disc to centre. Hilt underside bears the SS Rune acceptance stamp in chamfered octagon; the pommel being the special SS style which screws into the hilt of the sword and not the blade tang. Blade in polished steel is unmarked/without maker and is in very good condition, the white leather blade buffer pad is still intact, the scabbard is in good condition and retains 99% of the black paint finish, the lower scabbard mount is decorated with the standard line pattern, the upper mount is in the traditional Wotan's Knot pattern, the sword is complete with the correct and original SS officers silver brocade and silver-wire portepee with woven black runic insignia to top knot.
