The guard with two loop-guards, the main one possibly with small repair, the secondary one flat, worked with spirals and with loop-guards. The connecting element between the two loop-guards depicting fasces surmounted by the Phrygian cap. Grip with old leather covering and copper wire binding. Short cap. dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Grand Duchy of Tuscany, Slightly curved, single-and-false-edged blade with ribbed tip, flat at the first part, finely engraved with trophies and floral motifs on the right side, and partially engraved and gilded on a blue background and decorated with a cavalry helmet, flags and trophies on the left side. The central part with fuller, the segment at the weak engraved with trophies and floral motifs. One-quillon hilt with langets, stamped 'Noledi GENOVA'. Wooden grip covered with fish skin and metal wire binding. Iron scabbard with two suspension rings on rounded bands. Rare. length 101.2 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Sardinian Kingdom, Large, slightly curved, single-and-false-edged blade (small pitting) with wide fuller, 'SOLINGEN' marking and 'BD' mark. Bituminous, iron hilt with wide, smooth guard; iron grip with remains of black covering and long, smooth cap. Complete with leather scabbard with brass mounts ('BD' mark). length 81 cm.

dating: 1850 - 1870 provenance: Papal States, Slightly curved, single-and false-edged blade with a wide central fuller and rear groove, the base with the motto 'De la Legion ......' (the last word was deliberately cancelled, it was probably 'Romana'). The rear part worked following the Chatellerault manufacture, with date '1851' or '1871' (not completely legible), the tang with marks. Brass hilt with remains of gilding, the shell-guard pierced with floral motifs, marked 'JM', a loop-guard, short cap engraved with floral motifs. Horn handle with metal wire binding. Leather scabbard with brass mounts, the cap with the manufacturer's mark 'J. MANCEAU A PARIS', two lugs, the chape is detached. An interesting booty of war. length 91.5 cm.

Lot 332

dating: late 18th Century provenance: France, Smoothbore, round barrel, 18,6 mm cal. at the nozzle, with octagonal breech, the clutch for the bayonet removed (hole in the barrel). Lock with marked lock plate, brass pan. Working mechanism. Wooden, full stock, trace of stamp on the butt stock (perhaps emblem of the French Revolution: 'AN' with shaft on which stands the Phrygian cap), a few restored woodworm holes, signs of use and time. Iron mounts with pitting. All the iron parts bearing the same mark. Iron ramrod. With one socket bayonet, with leather scabbard. Possibly a rare An IV model from the revolutionary period. length 145,5 cm.

dating: Late 19th Century provenance: Congo, Wide, straight, double-edged blade with four small wings and central groove, decorated with carvings. Sculpted wooden grip, complete with wooden scabbard covered with leather and sewn with vegetable fiber, iron chape, defects and missing parts. Rare. length 57.5 cm.
