A GOOD LATE 18TH OR EARLY 19TH CENTURY FIRANGI OR SWORD, 83.5cm slightly curved blade with a gold decorated reinforcing strap to the midpoint on one edge and a further shorter reinforcing strap on the other, both pierced with a foliate design, characteristic hilt composed of an upturned guard, broad tapering knuckle guard and dished disc pommel with extended faceted tang with a flowerhead terminal, the whole with a gold foliate border and decorated with chevrons and panels of scrolling foliage and flowerheads in gold, contained in its blue velvet wrapped wooden scabbard with silver bullion wire decoration.
A GOOD TULWAR, 79cm curved damascus blade, characteristic hilt decorated over all with scrolling foliage and flowerheads on a stippled ground all within a geometric border, the large disc pommel decorated to match and with a short spike finial pierced for and retaining its silver organic tendril ring, the whole emerging from a sunburst, contained in its white metal mounted cloth wrapped wooden scabbard, the mounts decorated with geometric designs and animals.
