An Imperial German Court Sword, flattened hexagonal section blade 31”, etched with trophies of arms and flags, and blued and gilt, for half length, ornamental brass hilt the turn down shell guard embossed with a recumbent lion in scroll, turn down shell quillon, panelled knucklebow, lion head pommel, rectangular section grip with brass crowned oval on MOP to one side (inner side missing), in its brass mounted leather scabbard. Basically GC, the blade retaining virtually all original finish (no gilt to hilt or scabbard).
A Vic 1897 pattern infantry officer’s sword of the 3rd Vol Bn The Duke of Wellington’s (W Riding Regt), straight fullered blade 32½” etched with flat topped crown and VR cypher on one side, and “3rd VB” with “West Riding Regt” in scrolls on the other, all in foliate panels, officer’s monogram “NMB” near forte, regulation pierced plated guard incorporating crowned VR cypher, plain pommel, chequered backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, in its plated scabbard with 2 rings, and alternative leather FS scabbard with frog and straps. GC, the blade retaining most original polish, the hilt and scabbard most original plating (some wear/light pitting to hilt, scabbard kinked in centre, light pitting at top, throat mount detached and stuck at top of blade).
An early Vic 1845 pattern infantry officer’s sword, curved fullered blade 31½” by Andrews Williams & Sons (unclear, if so London 1836-68) and etched with crowned VR cypher in scrolled panels, regulation brass hilt with turn down inner portion, in brass mounted steel scabbard by Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London. QGC (evidently hung on a public house (?) wall).

Basically GC (some pitting to blade edges and wear to plating)
A late Vic 1821 pattern light cavalry officer’s sword of the Diamond Fields Horse, very slightly curved blade 36”, with traces of maker’s name at forte, and etched with crowned reversed and interlaced VR cypher on one side, and regimental device, motto “Spes Bona” and “Diamond Fields Horse” on the other, all in scrolled fenestrated panels, triple bar steel hilt with sideloop, chequered pommel and thumbpiece, wirebound fishskin grip, in its brown leather FS scabbard with frog and straps, GC (blade some wear).
