WW2 German Third Reich Kriegsmarine Officer’s “War Booty” Dagger by WKC A good example, the dolphin and anchor etched blade with double fuller and to the forte the cutler’s details of “W.K.C.” with knights head logo. Gilt metal mounts with twist amber grip. Housed in gilt metal scabbard with engraved lighting bolts and this example with knotted rope twist supports for the two loose rings. The scabbard with contemporary hand engraved “G.W. 1XII 1936” “1940-” and “Royal Navy 1940-194?”. Crack to grip, gilt worn, blade in good clean condition.

The hilt with single bar guard with embossed oakleaf decoration and to the cross guard a German Army eagle with outstretched wings. The black grip with silver twist wire binding is surmounted by a lion head pommel with ruby glass eyes. Complete with original steel scabbard. Retaining leather and bullion sword knot. Wear to the painted finish of the scabbard, gilt dulled, otherwise GC.

The hilt with a single brass bar guard terminating with a lion head pommel. The langet is embossed with crossed cannons (Cypher overlay absent) and to the shagreen grip twist wire binding. Complete with metal black painted scabbard. Blade is clean, age wear to the shagreen and scabbard.

The grips are Bakelite. Complete with Afrika Korps pattern web frog and fitted with green bayonet knot. Near unissued condition.
WW2 German Matching Numbered K98 Bayonet with Leather Frog A good clean example of the K98 Bayonet, the blade with maker’s details of “S178”, 1937 issue stamp and is numbered 3137, which matches the number on the scabbard. The grips are wood. Complete with black leather frog, with retaining strap and fitted with green and scarlet bayonet knot. Blade in very clean condition, slight age wear to the scabbard and hilt.
German Third Reich DLV Flyer’s dagger by SMF Solingen A fine nickel plated example. Blue leather grip with black enamel swastika to centre of down swept crossguard on either side. Double edged polished blade bearing logo of SMF, Solingen. Housed in original leather and nickel mounted scabbard, with single suspension ring; scabbard throat stamped with winged swastika device. Generally VGC. After WWI Germany was forbidden an air force by the Treaty of Versailles however the Deutscher Luftsport-Verband (German Air-sport Association) was formed in March 1933 from various sports flying clubs and had branches for aeroplane, gliding and balloon flying. Under cover of the sporting DLV, many future Luftwaffe pilots trained to fly. DLV was embodied with the NSKK in March 1935 and 1st March 1937 Luftwaffe formed.

Complete with scarce hanger. VGC Reichs Arbeits Dienst was the State Labour Service.

A fine example by rare maker with nickel mounts, the blade etched “Alles für Deutschland” and bearing maker’s fish logo. Brown wooden grip inlaid with silvered eagle and swastika and enamelled circular SA device; crossguard engraved “Nm” (SA Group Nordmark). Housed in original brown anodised scabbard with nickel mounts, the top mount with single suspension ring retaining brown leather strap and clip with belt loop and grip strap. Minor service wear, generally VGC SA (Sturmabteilung) “Brown Shirts” dagger introduced in 1933.

Housed in gilt metal lightening bolt scabbard with oakleaf bands retaining two loose rings and secured with spring clip. Complete with economy golden celluloid portepee (knot). German Third Reich Police Bayonet by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie, Solingen. A good 33 cm blade example with eagle’s head pommel, eye for show only. Two piece simulated stags horn grip bearing silvered police device. The cross guard bears oak leaf decoration. The plated blade, plating slightly lifting, bears maker’s details on one side, maker’s knight’s head logo on the other; A313 stamp to back of the blade and grip backstrap as well as scabbard top mount. Housed in brown leather scabbard with plated mounts and complete with brown leather frog. Both bayonet and scabbard stamped with matching numbers “L.A1.281” No movement to blade. Service wear to scabbard otherwise overall VGC.

German Third Reich Kriegsmarine Issue Sword by Alcoso, Solingen circa 1938-45. A superb and scarce example, with narrow plain 85 cm piped backed blade with the cutler’s details. The hilt of the regulation pattern, with lion head pommel and white wire bound cellural ribbed grip. The gilt double folding guard, embossed with a fouled anchor and Kriegsmarine issue stamp and number. This number is repeated to the top gilt mount of the leather scabbard. VGC Introduced in 1938.
1871 Prussian etched presentation side arm. A very good and rare 49 cm example with single edged flat blade, with spear point. One side of the blade is etched with an artillery train, the other to “1 Thüring Feld-Artill. Rgt No.19”. The solid brass grip is ribbed to the front and plain to the reverse and has a wavy crossguard and bird head pommel. Complete with cream and scarlet knot. Housed in black leather scabbard, with brass mounts; complete with frog. GC
