His sword was also prominently seen on promotional posters for the film.The sword is cast from resin, painted to resemble metal and gold, while the hilt's grip is made of faux leather. An armature runs through the sword's center to maintain its shape. Much of the sword's blade has been colored blue with gold-color detailing and lettering that reads "Garde - Imperiale." The scabbard is also made of resin, painted to resemble gold. Original owner was Harry Holmes, Royal Engineers. Harry missed D-Day having picked up an injury playing football for his Regt. He later fought in Normandy and North West Europe where he carried the knife.
