The plated guard is mounted with entwined gilt metal letters L.G 2 surmounted by a crown and bears gilt metal stud decoration. Shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Both guard and scabbard with matching numbers. The overall condition is good. GC.This pattern of sword is similar to that used by the Cuirassier throughout the Napoleonic war and early 19th Century.

14th King’s Hussars 1912 Cavalry Officer’s pattern sword by Wilkinson.A scarce example made by Wilkinson Sword in 1912, the year the pattern was introduced and attributed to Major Francis Peter MacIntyre OBE 14th King’s Hussars. The blade is engraved with crowned GVR crowned cypher, Regimental device and title and floral decoration. Also with initials “F.P.M.” The forte with the cutler’s details of Henry Wilkinson of Pall Mall and is numbered 45780. The solid guard is decorated with floral decoration enclosing the grip with twist wire binding. Housed in steel scabbard and complete with brown leather sword knot. The sword has be professionally restored during its working life and is in near parade condition.The Wilkinson number would indicate a manufacture date of 1912. Major Francis Peter MacIntyre OBE was commissioned into the 14th King’s Hussars on the 4th September 1912, he saw service during the Great War landing in the Middle East on the 14th November 1915, he would remain in this region after the end of the war and was awarded the General Service Medal with “N.W. Persia” clasp, also the OBE for services.

The curved flat blade with etched decoration incorporating Prince of Wales Plume, a flaming grenade and regimental title. The hilt of special pattern, the gilt metal cross guard with large oval langets, to the centre Prince of Wales Plume, this surrounded by title “Royal Welch Fuzilers”. The shagreen grip with twist wiring binding and is surmounted by a lion head pommel and backstrap. Housed in original black leather and gilt mounted scabbard. The blade with edge knocks, staining and surface pitting, etching faint.The 23rd Foot wore this pattern circa 1800 to 1809.

Housed in black leather and gilt mounted scabbard. Middle mount slides leather remains good but some age wear. The overall condition is good gilt to blade and hilt bright, one bar of the cross guard cracked.

2nd Bn Leicestershire Regiment Attributed 1854 Pattern Officer’s Sword by Wilkinson. This sword is attributed to Captain George Francis Shaw who died whilst on active service in Burma 1889. The sword is the regulation pattern, the straight blade with etched decoration of a VR cypher, also an armourial crest. The forte with the details of Wilkinson of London and blade with the number 21761. The hilt with fixed brass bar guard, shagreen worn to grip. Scabbard absent. Overall age wear.The blade number confirms that this sword was purchased by G.F. Shaw on the 14th February 1877. He was commissioned into the 2nd Bn Leicestershire Regiment on the 12th February 1876. He was reported as died on the 10th July 1889 and was buried at Myingyan Cemetery Burma.

Double edged spear point blade, the ricasso with etched panel Wilkinson Sword Ltd. London, the reverse side the F-S Fighting Knife. Recurved cross guard. Housed in an early pattern dark brown leather scabbard with nickel rounded chape and strap and stud retainer. This scabbard has had its leather tangs removed during its working life. The reverse of the scabbard impressed with the numbers “6014542”. Good clean condition, blade length 17 cmProvenance. Vendor states issued to Royal Marine James, one of the first men to join ‘A’, later 40 Commando, who carried it on the Dieppe Raid. It than passed to his son, Pat James, doing National Service in ‘A’ Company, 40 Commando. Pat James carried it through Suez. He later joined 6 SBS, spent sometime helping to train the newly formed US SEALS and later worked in an intelligence role. Pat James bequeathed the knife to the vendor. The regimental number would indicate a member of the Essex Regiment.

Double edged spear point blade. Housed in original brown leather scabbard with contemporary replacement elasticised retaining strap and leather tangs. The scabbard with the unusual feather of an extra hole pierced to the top flap of the scabbard. The overall condition is good, blade length 16 cm

WW2 Special Operations Executive SOE/ Chindit Wrist Dagger.An extremely rare example of plated steel. Made in one piece the hollow ground slender triangular plain blade is a length 10 cm long, overall length 18 cm. The flattened circular plain grip is surmounted by a flattened pommel.
