WW2 Casualty Royal Navy Midshipman's dirk. A good George VI example carried by Sub. Lieutenant Michael Wyndham Disney-Roebuck, who was Killed whilst serving onboard HMS Diamond in 1941. The blade is etched with a crowned foul anchor and a crowned GVIR cypher. Also the initials M.W. D-R June 1st 1938". The shagreen grip is with wire binding and surmounted by a lion's head pommel. Housed in original black leather scabbard with gilt metal mounts and two loose rings, to the top mount. Also with correct pattern bullion dirk knot. GC, blade clean Sub. Lieutenant Michael Wyndham Disney-Roebuck a native of Liss Hampshire was killed on the 27th April 1941 at the age of 20 years His ship had been ordered to help the evacuation of Crete. On the 27th she had picked up survivors of the troopship Slamat, when she came under German air attack and was sunk by dive bombers.

Royal Navy Georgian Napoleonic War Period Midshipman's Dirk. A fine quality example. The 22cm double edged spearpoint blade with etched decoration, this depicting a Trophy of Arms. The oval giltmetal guard mounted with a Lion head and Star decoration. The ivory grip with turned decoration and gilt mounts. Housed in original gilt metal floral engraved scabbard, fitted with two loose rings. The gilt remains bright and fresh, please note ivorine pommel to grip possible replacement.
Scottish Royal Artillery Officer's Sword. This example was retailed by William Anderson of Edinburgh (details to the forte). The blade with etched decoration and bearing the regimental title of Royal Artillery. The regulation three bar open guard with shagreen grip, with twist wire binding. Housed in brown leather field service scabbard. The blade with some blistering to the plating, rusting to the hilt.
1822 / 46 Pattern Sword for General and Staff Officers by Henry Wilkinson. A good example, the single edged slightly curved blade bearing etched decoration of a crowned entwined VR cypher and floral decoration; on the reverse is a General Officer's device. To the forte of the blade the cutler's details and the blade is numbered 8954. Gilt brass three bar open guard again with General Officer's device. Shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in polished steel scabbard with two loose rings. Etching to the blade remains very clean and clear. The hilt has been professionally re-gilded.
19th Century French Cuirassier's sword 1815 dated blade. A good scarce example, the single edged straight blade, with large double fullers and spear point. The back of the blade with maker's engraved name and dated 1815, also additional stamps to the forte. Officially fitted into a 1854 pattern hilt during it's working life. The hilt with a brass four bar open guard with leather covered grip. The grip surmounted by a brass shaped pommel. Housed in its original steel scabbard with two loose suspension rings. The scabbard with an even dark patina. The blade remains in clean condition, GC This style of sword was used by Cuirassiers throughout the Napoleonic war and into the Crimean War.

The sword is of the regulation pattern, the blade with etched decoration including a Crowned GVR cypher. The folding guard with engraved name. The white shagreen grip surmounted by a lion head pommel. Housed in black leather and brass mounted scabbard. The overall condition is very good close to parade condition.

The hilt of the regulation pattern, incorporating to the open guard a strung bugle device. Housed in metal scabbard. Blade and etching remain in good clean condition, hilt and scabbard with dulling age wear.
4th Bn Welsh Regiment Victorian Senior NCO's Sword. An unusual and scarce example. The plain blade with cutler's details of Wilkinson of London and date October 1891. The hilt is of the regulation Infantry pattern of 1845, the fixed brass open guard with a Crowned VR cypher. The guard is stamped "6/99 4 WEL 6" (June 1899 4th Welsh Regiment Sword 6). Housed in steel scabbard. Overall GC, steel toned.

Royal Devonshire Yeomanry Artillery Attributed Officer's 1912 Pattern Sword. This example is attributed to Major A.D. Stoddart TD. The blade is etched with a crowned GVR cypher, and details of the original owner "A.D. Stoddart R.D.Y.A.". The hilt is of the regulation pattern, the shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in polished brown leather field service scabbard. Etching to blade clear, but the sword is with overall age wear, light surface rusting and pitting to the guard and wear to the scabbard. Major A.D. Stoddart served with the Regiment during WW2 and was awarded the Territorial Decoration in December 1947.

The hilt with "S" shape cross guard and plain square grip. The pommel with impressed Soviet device. Housed in original scabbard the gilt top mount decorated with a sailing ship. Near VGC.
