A late 18th/early 19th century naval officer's sabre, the guard stamped 'FT' for Frances Thurkle and with wirework ivory grip, length approx 74cm, lacking scabbard. CONDITION REPORT: Loss to blade tip and heavy pitting, minor corrosion, nicks and nibbles to the blade edge and heavy surface scratches, nicks, etc. Similar wear to the guard with heavy scratches, rubbing to the finish, nicks and gouges similar to back strap and losses to the ivory, a noticeable chip to the bottom section and further nibbles, and hairlines throughout. Some of the wirework grip is loose to the upper section and the quillon is slightly loose. Back strap also loose.

A 19th century heavy cavalry sword with double fullered blade and brass three bar guard with stamps and numbered 1148 to knuckle bow, wirework leather grip, blade length 95cm (lacking scabbard). CONDITION REPORT: Some surface corrosion and pitting to blade, wear and tear to the guard and grip with surface scratches, nicks and gouges, blade very slightly off centre.
A gladius with brass crossguard numbered 375 and ribbed grip, blade length approx 49cm, in metal mounted leather scabbard with indistinct stamp. CONDITION REPORT: Blade with loss to the tip, heavy wear to the blade, scratches, nicks and gouges, some nibbles to edges, general wear and some pitting to the hilt and distress to the leather of the scabbard and discolouration to the mounts.

A German cavalry Grenadier Regiment officer's dress sword, the blade with etched charge scene to one side and inscribed 'Grenadier Regt. Zu Pferde Frhr. V. Derfflinger (Neumark) No.3', with further detail to both sides and blade back, length 83.5cm, the pierced hinged guard with eagle motif and with ribbed bakelite grip, in metal scabbard. CONDITION REPORT: Some pitting corrosion and general wear to blade and further throughout, rubbing to the plated finish of the guard and further similar quite heavy wear, deep scratches, nicks, gouges, etc. Further similar wear to the grip and scabbard which does also show some corrosion.
Two British bayonets comprising straight bladed example dated 1907 with broad arrow marks to blade base in metal mounted leather scabbard and a chassepot-type example with crown over B13 stamped to blade base and further stamped 7BRA and numbered 853 to either side of crossguard (lacking scabbard), also a further smaller Canadian bayonet stamped to base 'Ross Rifle Co Quebec Patented 1907' (lacking scabbard) (3). CONDITION REPORT: Condition issues throughout, particularly to latter two mentioned bayonets, the chassepot example with some surface corrosion and at least two bayonets with pitting and some damage to blades, guards and grips, general wear and tear throughout, see images.
Three socket bayonets with one in metal mounted leather scabbard stamped to blade base for F. Preston Manchester (two af) (3). CONDITION REPORT: One very heavily corroded and unidentifiable, the other lacking locking ring and scabbard, the first mentioned example with some pitting, surface wear etc, and distress to scabbard.
Three German bayonets, the first stamped 'Ljung & S Shul' in metal mounted leather scabbard, the second stamped 'Frister & Rossmann Berlin' in metal scabbard and the third and shortest stamped with lower leg and foot emblem, all with various crowned initial stamps (3). CONDITION REPORT: Pitting and wear to blades, similar to grips and metal bases, wear to scabbards where applicable, the metal scabbard particularly very heavily corroded, the first two mentioned seemingly lacking blade tips.
A German bayonet with swollen blade and stamped to base 'Deutsche Maschinenfabrik A-G Duisburg' with checkered wooden grip, lacking scabbard and two further probably German bayonets, one with scabbard (3). CONDITION REPORT: All with pitting to blade, the brass coloured handle example very heavily pitted and worn with surface losses throughout to blade, crossguard and grip, all with general wear and tear throughout, the metal scabbard is heavily pitted, dented etc.
Four French bayonets including chassepot example with metal scabbard, numbered 63/8632 to crossguard and with ribbed metal grip, all with signatures to blade backs including for St Étienne manufacture (4). CONDITION REPORT: Wear and tear throughout, pitting, some corrosion, damage, losses, please judge from pictures and request additional if necessary, scabbards where applicable are heavily corroded and worn.
A Sanderson 1907 pattern bayonet with military broad arrows and GR beneath crown stamps and further numerals, with wooden grip and metal mounted leather scabbard, blade length 42cm, and a horn handled machete (af) (2). CONDITION REPORT: The Sanderson bayonet lost the blade tip and with heavy wear to the blade, pitting, scratches, surface loss etc, similar wear to the guard, pommel and grip and scabbard, the machete has lost a significant section of the tip, surface pitting throughout, the grip also with some quite heavy wear and tear.
An Indonesian kris with carved wooden grip, length of blade 38cm (lacking scabbard), and a Middle Eastern (probably) bone handled dagger, the tapered blade with etched foliate detail and script to brass crossguard, length of blade 30cm, the handle also with engraved script and with scabbard (2).
Two kukris with wooden grips and white metal butt plates, both with karda and chakmak, one in leather and the other in wooden scabbard, blade length of longer approx 35.5cm. German WWII K98 Bayonet Both scabbard and bayonet have matched serial numbers (8985a), matched maker (Clemen & Jung) dated 1939. Marked with correct Waffen code WaA253. The leather frog is dated 1942 made by O. Reichel, Lengfeld. It is very unusual to find such an early example with its matched scabbard and in such good condition. The letter "a" suffix denotes that this is bayonet is from one of the very first batches. The bayonets pommel and scabbard have been painted red, with lovely bluing on the blade.
