An Officers Sword of The Royal Horse Guard. The Wilkinson blade engraved M.A.A.L. and belonging to Capt M.A.A. Little and having chrome pierced hilt applied with brass crown monogram, wire bound fish skin grip, checkered brass pommel and brass mounted chrome scabbard. Provenance: Copy of a letter from Major W.R. Edgedale setting out the career of Captain M.A.A. Little who was commissioned to the Royal Horse Guards (The Blues) on 12th June, 1935. During all his service he served in Egypt, India, The United Kingdom and the Middle East. He died of wounds on 5th October, 1944 and was buried at Santacangelo, Italy on the same day. His rank at the time of his death was Substantive Major.
