A sabre with cream painted grip, blade length 74cm and a dress/presentation type sword with Austro-Hungarian double-headed eagle motif and crown 'H' monogram, with wirework grip in scabbard (both af) (2). CONDITION REPORT The sabre blade is heavily pitted, the blade appears to have been ground down, further heavy pitting and some corrosion to the handle, wear to the painted grip, the joints of the grip are also slightly loose, the second sword; the blade feels very loose and has considerable bend, significantly corroded to the centre section and the finish has worn off the majority of the blade, the handle has also lost the majority of its brass coloured finish, some wire-work is loose, the guard is also loose at the joints, general heavy wear throughout including two scabbard.

CONDITION REPORT Heavy surface wear throughout, some deep scratches/gouges to blade base, wear to the lacquer of the handle, distress to the scabbard etc.

The blade Marked "Samuel Brothers Ltd Outfitters 65 & 67 Ludgate Hill London EC" below is acid etched initials S.A.P.K matching to the Sheath, the blade is etched with floral scrollwork and a crown above an Anchor. the rib is etched "London Made" and numbered 1137. With locking flap and GVR Cipher to the Hilt, The Portepee is worn. Good rigid scabbard.
