Iron scabbard with two suspension rings. It refers to the modification of the sabre for light horse in year XI to be used for horse artillery. length 100 cm.

dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Curved, single-and short false-edged blade, tip, with large fuller that doubles at the foible and engraved with floral motifs at the first part. The blade is inserted on the revolver's frame, the 9 mm cal barrel parallel to it and placed on the right side. Smooth, six-shot cylinder, provided with 'N' stamps under crown and the one of the Liege test bench. Iron frame marked 'H. G. & F BREVETE' and with serial number '333', provided with loading gate and extractor. Working mechanic. Checkered, anatomic, ebony grip scales. Long, iron cap. Iron scabbard with two lugs and grooved at the right side to host the revolver's barrel. See similar pieces in 'Armi Bianche Militari Italiane 1814-1950' by Cesare Calamandrei, Olimpia, 1987, pages 64-66. The volume features several illustrations of the different types of this scarce arm, patented by Carlo Maria Colombo from Milan in 1864 joining a pin-fire revolver with a 1855 model officer's sword. length 101 cm.

Leather scabbard with gilded bronze hilts and decorated with floral motifs in bas-relief. Complete with a rare, gilded cloth sword knot, the cross is of silver and the pompon of wire.
