British George V 1897 Pattern Officers Sword Attributed to P C Graham Newcastle Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, complete with its brown leather field service scabbard. Fish skin covered grip complete with wire. Hilt has George V monogram. Blade retains much of the original polish. Sanderson Bros & Newbould Ld Sheffield makers mark to the base. Etched panel with cipher and foliage. Complete with its leather hanging frog. Hilt has engraved section with owners details and date Oct 31st 1914. ** A Captain Percy Gordon Graham of the 16th (Newcastle) Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers was killed in action on the 1st day of the Battle of the Somme. At the time of going to print we have not been able to confirm if this is the original owner of this sword.

British George V 1897 Pattern Officers Sword complete with its original brown leather field service scabbard. Guard with George V cipher. Fish skin covered grip. Some plating lifting to the hilt. Blade is etched with foliage and Royal Coat of arms to the centre. Base of the blade has makers mark for Robt Mole & Sons Birmingham. Spine of the blade is numbered M8018. Some surface staining to the blade.

An Imperial German Artillery officer’s sword, of the 4th Magdeburg Field Artillery, plated blade 32” etched with scrolls and trophy of arms, and with blued panels, on one side with crown over “FR” and Field Artill Regt Prinz Regent Luitport v Bayern (Maddeburgisches) No 4”, on the other side a horse drawn field gun and limber, the plain steel stirrup hilt with wire bound fishskin covered grip, in its steel scabbard. Basically GC (small patches of flaking and rust to blade, the hilt painted gold and the scabbard painted black over rust).
An early 19th century naval type dirk, slender pronounced hollow diamond section blade 9½”, brass S shaped crossguard with flattened button terminals, rectangular section bone grip, brass lower band and pommel, engraved on one side, prominent ball stud, with brass locket and ring (rest of scabbard missing). Basically GC (some wear).
