dating: First half of the 19th Century provenance: Central Italy, Composed of one officer's small-sword with partially finished blade and remains of gilded engravings, bronze, gilded hilt, finely decorated in bass-relief, shell-guard with crowned lily, placed on a trophy of arms; grip with ebony, checkered grip scales, the front one with monogram 'CL' (Carlo Ludovico of the Duchy of Lucca?), guard and cap decorated in relief. Another officer's small-sword with lenticular blade, with remains of engraved rinceaux, bronze, gilded hilt, shell-guard with three lilies, mother-of-pearl grip scales, the front one with shield with crowned monogram 'CL' (Carlo Ludovico of the Duchy of Lucca?), cap shaped as monster's head and guard with a snake. Together with two, officer's swords, Prussian type. One with blade finished for three quarters and gilded engravings, bronze hilt with remains of gilding, bent shell-guard, grip with metallic covering and scabbard. Trapezoid ricasso, with flat facets, marked on both sides with a monogram. Nice, iron hilt, with elements imitating the spirals. Lower ring-guard with shell-guard, pierced inside and decorated with flowers in the center, upper ring-guard en suite and provided with a quillon joining to the guard, decorated with spiral imitations and flowers in the center. Parry-quillon with similar floral decoration at the end. Grip with iron moor's heads and wire bindings, twisted. Vat-pommel, slightly flattened, en suite with other elements of the hilt. Smooth back part of the hilt, with three counter-guard loops. Together with wooden scabbard (probably antique), with remains of red velvet covering and with iron chape. length 126,5 cm.
