Naval 1879 pattern Officers Dirk, gilt brass hilt, lions head pommel with ring, strip of white fish skin with brass twist wire. Cross guard with Acorn Finials to S Quillions (one quillon bent forward a little). Blade 18" etched with Anchor and Scrolling foliage. With its original leather scabbard with gilt brass mounts and spring catch. Locket engraved with owners initials "J.G.F.W.R.".
Rare "Figure of eight" Naval Cutlass circa 1750 to 1780, used on British Men of War upto the Battle of Trafalgar. This type of Cutlass was also used by the American Navy during the time of the Revolution. The grip is a cylinder of lapped iron. The "figure of eight" or "Double Disc" knuckle bow fastens flat to the top of the grip. The blade of 27 inches, has a central fuller and single cutting edge. Overall the Cutlass is pitted, but the hilt and blade are in solid condition despite its age. The guard is completely original and untouched. The cutlass` were kept on deck in wooden blocks, hence no scabbard.

Sword - a good 1827 Pattern Naval Officers Sword, solid half basket guard with raised bars, crown and anchor badge etched blade 31". Gilt brass hilt with gold and blue bullion knot. In its brass mounted leather scabbard, wirebound leather grip, with its belt and suspension straps (modern). Excellent condition
Sword - a good quality 1821 pattern Artillery Officers Sword to A.F.E. Stiffe, 2Lt RA 16.2.1887, a student at the staff college. Captain 9.10.97. 2/IC of No.76 COY (Bombay) RGA. Major I/C No. 56 COY (Mauritius) RGA. Lt. Col. 30.10.14. RGA. Manufactured by the Wilkinson Sword Company, blade numbered 27682 for 1884, finely etched blade (some pitting to tip) three bar hilt wire bound fish skin grip (some wear noted), in its steel scabbard (patches of rust and pitting). The Sword was sold on 19th November 1886, and purchased by A. F. E. Stiffe Esq, Royal Artillery.

Sword - an 1796 Pattern Infantry Officers Sword, blade 31½" , blade etched with crown of George III and "G.R." showing 30% of faded deep blue with minor rusting, silver wire bound grip, plain knuckle bow folding shell guard. In over all good and complete condition. Some wear to hilt gilding, in its brass bound leather scabbard with two hanging rings, minor crack to locket (ring detached but present after old repair), pre 1801 Royal Coat of Arms
Sword - an 1853 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword in its steel scabbard. Blade 35" maker marked Mole. The front of the guard is marked "17th L, 262 / 212". (17th lancers). This type of sword was used during the Crimea War where the 17th Lancers took part in the famous Charge of the Light Brigade, and also used during the Indian Mutiny. A good sleeper lot with leather grips secured by five rivets.

An 1882 Short Pattern Cavalry Trooper's Sword, 83.5cm blade, overall length 101cm, by Robert Mole and Sons, the blade etched with cartouche Robt Mole & Son Maker's Birmingham, regulation steel hilt with Maltese Cross piercing, stamped with various ordnance marks at the forte and 'H.F.B.3' (possibly Hamilton Field Battery) to the hilt, two piece chequered riveted leather grips, in its sheet steel and wood lined scabbard with fixed opposed suspension rings.
