A German Second World War Army Officers’ Dagger. An excellent example with superb blade by Tiger, Solingen. All of the cross grain finish remaining, good deep manufacturers logo, mid orange celluloid grip totally undamaged. All of the fittings, which include the upper pommel, central cross guard and scabbard all match in colour with good plating. The dagger is fitted with the correct long pattern Portapee for the army officer. Complete with a set of the deluxe hanging strap, which do have some light oxidisation to the brocade and minor wear to the velvet backing. All spring clips intact and working correctly. A German Second World War SS Enlisted Man’s Model 1933 Dagger. Excellent double stamped blade with all cross grain finish remaining, good bright and crisp having the mark RZM941/37SS with the accompanying Eickhorn trademark. The grip mounts have lost the majority of their plating with some slight residue remaining. The ebony wood grip is virtually perfect with just minor abrasions. High quality national eagle with its SS enamel inset totally undamaged but with loss of silver colour to both the runes and the twin circular rings. The scabbard retains virtually all of its original black painted finish with slight rust flooding through from the steel scabbard below. The upper and lower scabbard mounts are of the later plated variety with plating lifting slightly, the ball to the lower scabbard is without any dents, very good condition £800-£1,200 --- Provenance: This dagger has been offered for auction with the previous lot (see Lot 596), which is absolutely identical and we firmly believe both to have been collected in Germany at the end of the Second World War from the same location. A German Second World War Luftwaffe Second Patter Officers’ Dagger. A good example of the Luftwaffe 2nd pattern officers dagger. Very good blade by F.W. Holler, Solingen, with some grease marks but much cross grain finish remaining. Deep orange grip with some abrasions. One chip to the upper part of the grip. All grip wire intact. The fittings of the upper pommel, central cross guard and scabbard all match in colour. A German Second World War SA Man’s Dagger. Poor blade but with rare maker of Chronolit, full length blade, unsharpened, good clear motto but unfortunately corrosive black marks overall. Grip mounts good, group marked S to the lower mount. High quality national eagle. Slight chip to the enamel of the SA inset. Repainted scabbard. A German Second World War SA Dagger with Presentation Inscription. A very nice model 33 enlisted mans dagger. The blade is absolutely superb with much original cross grain finish by the scarce maker of A.Werth, Solingen. To the face side the standard Ulles Fur Deutschland deeply etched inscription. To the reverse side Fur Tapferkeit Im Ostfeldzug 1942 with the etched inscription of an unidentified SA Obersturmbannfuhrer. All of the grip fittings are of the heavy nickel type, marked NA, this is Group Nordmark. Undamaged wood grip. High quality national emblem. Undamaged enamel to the SA inset. Early anodised scabbard, which retains at least 70% of original anodising. Good heavy quality scabbard mounts, one indentation to the ball of the lower scabbard mount, which has one screw missing, one screw missing also to the upper scabbard mount. A German Second World War SS Enlisted Man’s Model 1933 Dagger. A nice condition double stamped blade, which retains virtually all its original cross grain finishing, marked RZM 941/38SS plus its Eickhorn trademark. Minor light surface rusting marks to the lower edge, which we believe could be removed, the remainder of the blade crisp and bright. The grip fittings have lost the majority of their plating indicating this is a late pattern dagger. The ebony wood grip is very nearly perfect with a couple of light abrasions. High quality national eagle with an SS runic symbol above, which has lost its silvering to both its runes and its twin circles. The top closure nut it would appear has been opened with a pair of pliers and has grip marks to the circular section of the nut. The dagger is in its black painted scabbard, the paint virtually all intact with original age lines coming through from the steel below, the scabbard fittings both of the late type, plated, with plating lifting to the upper scabbard mount and very minor lifting to the edges of the lower scabbard mount with minor indentations to the base, very good condition £800-£1,200 --- Provenance: This dagger has been offered for auction with the following lot (see Lot 597), which is absolutely identical and we firmly believe both to have been collected in Germany at the end of the Second World War from the same location. Raiden wore his costume for much of the film as he commanded the forces of the nobleman Bartok (Morgan Freeman). The all-black costume includes an undershirt; an overshirt; trousers (each labelled "Raiden"); a coat; padded rubber-and-leather torso armour; a robe; leather boots ("Raiden 1"); a scarf; gloves; and leather bracers. Completing the costume is a thin metal sword with a black faux crocodile leather grip and an ornate silver-painted pommel. The weapon comes with a black leather scabbard. The costume has been intentionally distressed to look well-worn and has minor additional wear from production use, most notably along the scabbard. Nemo used his sword during the final battle sequences as the League invaded M's (Richard Roxburgh) weapons factory.The sword features a curved aluminium blade with cast-in filigree, a metal cross guard and curved wooden handle. It is housed in a dark red leather scabbard with an ornate faux-silver metal band at the top. Two metal rings are attached to one side of the scabbard to connect to Nemo's baldric. Signs of production use are visible, including corrosion on the cross guard. The scabbard displays production wear, with creases along its length and bending to the tip. Moses received his sword after he defeated several assassins. He later put the sword on the table when he reunited with Nun (Ben Kingsley) and Joshua (Aaron Paul). The sword has an aluminium blade and a faux-bone handle, which features decorative faux-hair and leather tassels. The scabbard is made of leather, with a leather belt and coloured leather tassels attached to one side. The items have minor wear from production use and age. The Führer wore his costume while ridiculing two of his military command and interviewing Private Butz (Sönke Möhring), the only survivor of a patrol ambushed by the Basterds. The costume consists of a cream woollen cape with a red lining (labelled "Adolf Hitler"); a brown jacket (labelled "Hitler 173-A04-8P"); a pair of matching trousers (labelled "P. 88"); and a brown leather holster. Adorning the back of the cape is a black-and-white military cross emblem featuring a golden eagle clutching a swastika. The jacket's left breast pocket displays three German badges, and attached to the left sleeve is a red armband bearing a swastika. The costume comes with an additional loose armband. A Hero Collection costumier's label is sewn inside the jacket, trousers and spare armband.Completing the attire is a dagger comprising a metal blade, a brass-coloured ornate guard and a glossy brown grip. Algren wielded his saber when he led his men into battle against the Samurai before Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe) captured him.This lot consists of a custom-made curved aluminum saber with a winding bronze-colour handguard wrapped with black leather and bronze wire and a bronze-colour pommel. Also included is a curved metal scabbard with two belt rings. The scabbard exhibits scuffs and tarnishing, while the sword itself exhibits scratches, tarnishing, loosening in the handle components, and wear to the leather. This dagger came from the personal collection of renowned special effects technician Bert Luxford. The dagger and scabbard are made predominantly of fibreglass and resin, and the dagger has a steel blade. Both pieces are painted gold, and the scabbard features a leather string to attach it to a belt. The dagger has wear from age and use, including paint wear and chipping at the end of the pommel. After Commodus (Joaquin Phoenix) became Emperor, he gained the Praetorian Guard, an elite unit of the Imperial Roman Army, as his personal bodyguards.The sword comprises a metal blade; a black-painted wooden hilt decorated with a brass coloured band around the guard which is decorated with the engraved letters "SPQR" ("Senatus Populusque Romanus", or "The Roman Senate and People"); and a rounded pommel. Finished in black paint, scabbard is made of wood wrapped in canvas, with metal hardware and a brown leather strap. The lot displays signs of wear, including scratches and small dents in the blade, and scuffing and paint wear on the scabbard's canvas. It came from the personal collection of renowned SFX technician Bert Luxford, who purchased it for use on You Only Live Twice. It was ultimately unseen in the film, but later "reunited" with the Bond star on Highlander as his weapon for the film. Ultimately, it was used as a reference for Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez's (Sean Connery) main weapon as it was decided his sword and costume needed to be more flamboyant.The steel sword features an ornate faux-ivory grip, and comes with a leather wrapped wooden scabbard. It has some wear from age and use, most notably areas of scuffing on the scabbard, and is accompanied by three pages of hotel tags from the Japanese shoot.
