(86cms) double-edged blade etched with scrolls around royal cipher and 'Royal Artillery', the hilt with fluted scrolling knuckle guard above wire bound shagreen grip, steel cut chequered back and stepped pommel, the scabbard covered in brown leather, 41in. (104cms) long overall.

(81cms) long fullered blued blade with gilt decoration of war trophies, crest, anchors and maker's mark, looks to read "Robertson, Strand", fitted bow lacquered brass knuckle guard and wire-bound ivory grip under a lion mask pommel (no scabbard), 36 1/2in. (93cms) long overall.

WWI memorabilia belonging to Captain J W Lomas M.C. of the 881 Brigade Royal Field Artillery Comprising officers sword, 88cm single edged single fullered blade with acid etched decoration of the Royal Artillery, George V cipher surmounted by crown, by Clement Gray of Sheffield, swept pierced guard, fish skin grip with twist wire decoration, leather sword knot, complete with a leather covered scabbard, outer sword bag, Captain Lomas' medals comprising British war medal, victory medal with oak leaf, miniature group with military crown, British war medal, victory medal, pair of Ross of London binoculars no 3 (mark II), dated 19, complete with leather case with broad arrow mark, top stamped no. 3 GJ.W.Lomas 331 brigade R.F.A. J & B Green Limited 1918. This lot is accompanied by some research. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 319: sword bag worn, sword blade with some staining, grip worn, sword knot worn, scabbard some marks - overall in good condition for age. Binoculars Ok, wear to leather of case, medals OK.

Sword: A British Lifeguards Officers Dress Sword Circa 1820-1850, ricasso marked ''Andrews 9 Pall Mall, London'' Plain blade 34''. Brass hilt with twist wire grip and brass ''Bun'' pommel. In its brass mounted leather scabbard. Leather fractured and repaired at Locket. (Take care in removing sword from scabbard) A good example (scabbard leather a/f)
Sword: A fine Imperial German Naval sword, ricasso marked 'CARL EICKHORN SOLINGEN'. Nicely engraved blade 31" with fouled anchor and ship motifs. Gilt brass hilt and twist wire bound fishskin grip. Folding guard. In its brass mounted leather scabbard with ornate mounts. A good example and a collectors lot.
Sword: A Geo V 1897 Pattern Infantry Officers sword by Fenton Brothers Sheffield (sword cutlers to the War Office). Blade 33" (pitted with lifting of plating). In its steel scabbard marked '12. 12' (December 1912?). Throat screws missing. Some pitting. Good wirebound fishskin grip. Steel guard (minor loss to Geo V logo). Sound condition.
Sword: A German 1888 Artillery Officers Pattern Sword. Brass stirrup hilt, langet with cannons. Lions head pommel. Wirebound fishskin hilt. Blade 32'' ricasso marked W.K.& Co. Blade nicely etched with artillery devices. In its steel scabbard with brass hanging rings. This is a good sword with light wear commensurate with eye. With leather Throddel knot.
