A 19TH CENTURY WHITE JADE HILTED KHANJAR, 29cm clean wootz damascus blade with armour piercing tip, bright polish to blade, the tapering double fullers with exposed damascus grain and chiselled with a short inscription, characteristic hilt of white or mutton fat jade, contained in its velvet wrapped wooden scabbard. Paperwork accompanying the dagger lists the inscription as Urdu - Mahamray Sri Partap Singh, while not entirely accurate it perhaps should read Maharaja Sir Pratap Singh who was Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir. Minor grey stain to tip now scrubbed, and ground chip to base of hilt.

A GOOD 19TH CENTURY OTTOMAN SILVER NIELLO KINDJAL, 37cm triple fullered blade struck with an elongated maker's mark above the forte, characteristic hilt finely decorated with scrolling foliage and flower heads, and the monogram of Sultan Abdul Hamid Khan Al-Ghazi, contained in its fine silver niello scabbard decorated with vignettes of Mosques and Palaces, Sultanahmet Camii - Sultan Ahmed - The Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia Mosque - The Byzantine Church Hagia-Sophia, Bayezid II Mosque, Ortokoy Camii Mosque, the reverse with We Have Granted Thee a Manifest Victory and further decorated with panels of calligraphy to include a poem by Imam Ali: I accepted what God has granted me, In the past I have delegated my fate to God and I am sure that God will look after me furthermore in the future, a further name Ibraheem Pash and the prayer Oh Allah, Your Lordship knows all what is hidden and what will happen in the future please help and protect us from what we fear.

A FINE ENGLISH SILVER HILTED SMALL SWORD, c.1750, large hilt not hallmarked, crisply chased overall with curved flutes and raised stylised foliage against a punched ground, shaped shell guards, silver grip, large pas d'ane rings, 87.5cm triangular-section tapered blade with raised rib on one side and sunken fuller on the reverse retaining nearly all it original polish overall (extreme tip pitted), in its wooden scabbard with silver hanging band and locket engraved ensuite with hilt, locket also engraved Holden Ludgate Street. Untouched condition, scabbard covering, chape and tip of scabbard missing. Note: Edward Holden, recorded 1710 - 1769, London sword cutler and Master of the Cutler's Company. A SCARCE ENGLISH SILVER HILTED HUNTING HANGER, hallmarked for London, 1741-1742, maker's mark I.S within a rectangle, chiselled in relief with stags and bushes on quillon block, hounds and bushes on knuckle bow, one piece gripstrap and pommel with a fearsome grotesque mask flanked by elaborate trophies of arms, and a further mask which receives the knucklebow, fluted one piece horn grip, 66cm polished and slightly curved single edge blade cut with a pair of narrow and a pair of broad fullers and with traces of etched inscription and and chape engraved ensuite with foliage. Some age wear, hallmarked on knucklebow and beneath oval plate covering scabbard mouth.
