* Cavalry Officer's Sword. A 1912 Pattern Cavalry Officers Sword, t he 88.5cm straight steel blade by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, serial number 60383, etched with G.V.R. cypher and foliate scrolls plus owners initials ‘C.C.L.W.’, plated solid cup guard engraved with floral scrolls, wire-bound fish-skin grip, stepped pommel with chequered top, 109cm overall, with brown leather sword knot and scabbard, in its brown leather sword bag with remains of owners label stamped ‘Mr C. C.ll. Wil…’ (Qty: 1)Captain Charles Crofts Llewelyn Williams, served with 12th Lancers during WWI and was commissioned 25 February 1916. Williams received a Military Cross during the war 'for brilliant and skilful leadership. On 9th November, 1918, east of Solre-le-Chateau, when in command of a half squadron sent forward to pursue the retiring enemy and gain touch with his rear guards, he pushed forward with the utmost gallantry, despite the fact that both his flanks were exposed and a considerable amount of machine-gun fire was still coming from them. He did most successful work' (London Gazette, 4 October 1919).

St. J.),1897 Jubilee Medal with supporting dress miniature award in Wyon case of issue with an enclosure from Lord Chamberlain's Office dated 26 August 1897 inscribed to the recipient, The Order of St John, Serving Brother miniature breast Badge in case of issue, two Victorian commemorative medals including one for Her Majesty's visit to Ireland April 1900, a Victorian court sword, the 79cm straight steel blade etched 'To the Queen Hawkes & Co Piccadilly London, etched with military trophies and foliate scrolls, gilt metal guard and hilt, with gold bullion sword knot, 94.5cm long overall, in its leather scabbard with gilt metal mounts and sword bag, a coatee with tailors label Forster & Sons, Bond Street London, navy blue melton cloth and light blue silk lining, with 4 G.V.R. brass buttons to the right breast and 2 more to each cuff and 2 to the rear, 118cm long, a Victorian great coat, black melton cloth with black velvet collar, red cloth lining and 12 brass buttons each with crown surmounting an royal crest within 'honi soit qui mal y pense' garter and 2 further buttons to the rear, 135cm long plus a similar cape with 4 buttons to the right breast and fastening chain with other related items including sash ribbon GCMG and Order of St John etc (Qty: a carton)Uchter John Mark Knox, 5th Earl of Ranfurly (1856-1933) was a British politician and colonial governor of New Zealand from 1897 to 1904. He was born into an Ulster-Scots aristocratic family in Guernsey, the second son of The 3rd Earl of Ranfurly by his wife Harriet, daughter of John Rimmington of Broomhead Hall, Yorkshire. He was educated at Harrow School and after a brief spell as a cadet on board HMS Britannia left the Royal Navy for Trinity College, Cambridge at the age of 18. Lord Ranfurly served as a Lord-in-Waiting under Lord Sainsbury from 1895-1897, and was knighted as a Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (KCMG) in 1897. He was appointed as Governor of New Zealand in April 1897 and Honorary Colonel of the 1st Wellington Battalion in 1898 and was created a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of St Michael and St George (GCMG) in 1901 on the occasion of the visit of the TRH the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall (later King George V and Queen Mary) to New Zealand. On returning to England he was made an Irish Privy Counsellor in 1905 and in 1914 devoted more time to the Order of St. John of Jerusalem becoming Director of its Ambulance Department. In 1919 the French Government made him an Officer of the Legion of Honour for his services in connection during WWI. See lot 493.
A pair of "Rambo First Blood" survival knives: First is 225mm long blade with sawbacked blade. Crossguard marked "Taiwan" and features two screwdriver tips. Green cord bound hollow grip with screw on alloy pommel revealing a plastic container with matches. Phosphate finish to blade and crossguard. Overall length 35cm. Complete with brown leather scabbard with embossed "Rambo First Blood". Along with the "Rambo First Blood Part II" survival knife. 25cm long sawbacked blade with black non reflective finish. Crossguard marked "Taiwan" with two screwdriver tips. Black cord bound grip. Screw on pommel with point and hole. Grip contains plastic container with matches and scalpel blades. Overall length 39cm. Black leather scabbard marked "Rambo First Blood Part II". (2)
Finnish Puukko knife with 20cm long single edged blade with blued finish with contrasting bright polished edge. No makers marks. Wooden grip with horn pommel and brass guard. Overall length 33cm. Complete with traditional brown leather scabbard with plated leather belt loop which contains a second smaller skinning knife with 75mm long single edged blade with wood, horn and brass decoration.

Traditional brown leather scabbard with twisted leather cord belt loop. The second has a 9cm long single edged blade. No makers markings. Wood and horn grip, pommel and guard. Overall length 20cm. Traditional wood and brown leather scabbard with embossed Reindeer decoration, with reverse of scabbard marked "KS" along with twisted leather cord belt loop. (2)
Pair of Indian made decorative Swords: The first has a curved 76cm long fullered single edged blade with etched decoration and is marked "Made in India". Cast brass hilt with guard. Overall length 89cm. Complete with wood lined red velvet covered scabbard with brass fittings: The second is a smaller short sword with curved 34cm long single edged fullered blade with etched decoration marked "India". Cast brass hilt with stylised Tiger's head pommel and guard. Overall length 43cm. Complete with brass scabbard with pierced decoration and red cloth backing. (2)
EARLY CONTINENTAL SWORD possibly 17thc and probably Dutch/Flemish, with a highly decorated silver coloured metal hilt and double shell guard including various figures, with a colichemarde blade and etched decoration (etching is worn and some rust marks to blade). Blade stamped F W Holler, Solingen, and marked on the spine of the blade W17 (possibly for 1917). With later painting to the scabbard and metal mounts. VICTORIAN INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD - LANDON & MORLAND a 1845 pattern infantry sword with a brass folding hand guard and pommel, and with sword knot. With a fish skin grip (partly worn away), the blade etched with VR on both sides and in excellent untouched condition and with proof mark. Blade marked Landon & Morland, Jermyn's, St James, London.
