An early 20c. Royal Navy officer's sword and scabbard. The etched blade signed JJ Raynor & Sons, Lords Street, Liverpool. The other side stamped "proved" with snakeskin style handle and pierced brass hilt, stamped RNR with a lions head end and part leather with brass coloured scabbard. 96 cms. long.
A French Naval Officer's sword, curved pipe-backed blade 27 3/4 in. and marked for Klingenthal, gilt metal hilt with pierced guard decorated with fouled anchor and bull-rushes, knucklebow, relief decorated back-strap and pommel, wire bound bone grip, gilt metal scabbard mounts with part leather scabbard.
