Plated basket hilt with double ring quillons and heart and ball pierced hilt panels. Fluted, half ball pommel. Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding. Contained in its steel scabbard with loose hanging rings. Complete in a black, patent leather, baldric belt with cast white metal buckle, slider and end tab, all with thistle decoration. The end mount with maker R W Forsyth Ltd Edinburgh & Glasgow. Hilt polished with some loss of finish. Good clean period example.
