A Scottish 1857 pattern broadsword for Staff Sergeants of Highland Militia and Volunteer Battalions, blade 29½" x 1¼", by Mole, Birmingham, the ricasso stamped with broad arrow, various ordnance inspector's marks and date "8'03", with regulation pattern basket hilt with fish skin grip and red lining, stamped on the underside "4/0-" over "V/4HLI/4". GC (no scabbard, the hilt has been pitted, cleaned and chrome plated). £150-250
A late 19th century Caucasian "St. George" shashqua, blade 30½" gold inlaid with a simple calvary cross, the silver hilt embossed, chased and nielloed overall with scrolls, foliage and flower heads, the pommel mounted with gold and enamel cross of the Order of St. George (the red enamel and figure of St George now missing from the centre), in its leather covered scabbard with embossed, chased and nielloed silver mounts, the lower mount struck with silver marks, with its original acorn sword knot and fragmented ribbon in the colours of the Order of St George. Basically GC (the blade worn and lightly pitted, old soldered repair to the hilt, the lower end of the scabbard has lost its chape and been re-covered in leather during its working life). £2000-2200

A 19th century Russian infantry sidearm, blade 27", with one piece brass hilt dated 1826 on the knucklebow, in an incorrect brass mounted leather scabbard, the mounts dated 1834. Quite GC (some heavy rust patches to the blade, some wear and damage to the scabbard which is too small to fully accomodate the blade). £80-100
An 1827 rifle regiment pattern General Officer's sword, broad blade 35" by Henry Wilkinson, number 15711 (1868), etched with crown over "VR", foliage, and family crest in panel, the regulation pattern steel hilt having General Officer's badge in place of the crowned bugle, and fish skin grip, in its steel scabbard. GC (some external rust patches). £200-300
A 10 bore (.75") Long Land pattern "Brown Bess" flintlock musket, 62" overall, barrel 46" engraved "XX REGt", the breech with ordnance proof marks; rounded slightly banana shaped lock engraved with large crown over "GR" and "FARMER 1758"; walnut fullstock with regulation brass mounts, the escutcheon engraved "III/I", with steel ramrod and sling loops; with its original socket bayonet with leather scabbard, the socket also engraved "III/I". GWO & basically GC (some wear overall, barrel and ramrod moderately pitted, the bayonet rusty with pitting, the scabbard worn and split). £1500-2500

Hussars, blade 34½" by Henry Wilkinson, number 21370 (1875), the blade etched with crown over "VR" and scrolls, monogram "CIH" and "XI P.A.O. Hussars", with regulation pattern steel hilt with fish skin covered grip, in its steel scabbard. GC £300-400
A good 18th/19th century Arab Nimcha, plain slightly curved blade 30½" with wide shallow fullers, the hilt of pale gilt silver with cruciform cross guard, angular grip, and triple chain knuckle guard, the grip and cross guard with chased borders, the pommel bearing circular medallions with Arabic inscriptions (?), in its pale gilt silver coloured scabbard which is decorated with panels chased with borders of flower heads and wavy lines and diagonal bands of foliage, the back edge of the locket with what appears to be an Arabic inscription. GC (the blade slightly worn, age tarnish overall). Would benefit greatly from careful cleaning. £2000-2200
An Omani sword Kattara from Zanzibar, double edged blade 30" (very rusty), the grip bound with diamond pattern silver foil cord, the pommel covered with sheet silver, in its tooled leather covered scabbard, the iron mounts with silver koftgari decoration. Fair to poor condition, (part of the grip binding and much of the scabbard leather missing, the scabbard split). £100-150
