Of Aviation Interest: A group of flying kit and other material relating to Harry William Rayner including two pairs of headphones, three flying suits, one with a fitted knife and scabbard, three soft helmets, each with leather padded earphones and oxygen attachments and various other items * Harry Rayner joined the RAF as a Sergeant Pilot in 1947 and trained at No. 4 FTS Heany in Southern Rhodesia. He served in Fighter Command from 1950-1954 and then joined Brooklands Aviation as a production test pilot, moving onto Armstrong Siddeley and Handley Page. With the demise of Handley Page he entered a career in commercial aviation before retiring in 1993
