19th Century Scottish Dirk by “Still”14 1/2 inch, single edged blade with narrow fuller and sharpened back edge point. Blade stamped “Still”. Brass ferrule and disk pommel. Carved wooden basket weave and Celtic design, one piece wooden grip with stud decoration. Contained in its leather covered wooden scabbard. Brass mounts. Containing its matching brass mounted and wooden handled knife and fork.
WW2 American M3 Combat Knife6 1/2 inch, single edged blade with sharpened back edge point. Blade stamped “US. M3. Camillus 1943”. Steel crossguard and disk pommel with flaming grenade stamp. Leather washer grip. Contained in its first pattern leather scabbard with lower steel plates and riveted seams. Scabbard stamped “US. M6. Milsco. 1943”. Minor wear.

Composite basket weave grip mounted with QC silvered Black Watch badge. Contained in its leather scabbard with silvered thistle decorated mounts.
WW2 Dated Issue Indian Kukri13 3/4 inch, single edged blade of typical form. Narrow rear fuller. Blade stamped “V.A.D. 1941”. Steel ferrule and flat oval pommel. Polished wooden slab grips secured by two brass rivets. Contained in its brown leather covered, issue wooden scabbard with brass chape.
A Tibetan dagger, single edged blade 11.5 in., white metal clad hilt with trefoil terminal set with a turquoise cabochon to a raised setting, iron framed scabbard with white metal panels profusely embossed with writhing dragons amid foliage, further cabochons to the outer face; together with a Tibetan prayer book, six loose leaves with text and painted Buddhas, enclosed by two boards faced with richly embossed white metal overlaid with Buddhas and mythical beasts, also featuring vajras and other symbols, all within a border set with hard stone cabochons. λ Three Sudanese swords (kaskara), the first with broad multi-fullered blade 35 in., long flaring quillons and short langets, crocodile skin grip, hide with characteristic swell toward the lower end and an embellished white metal chape; the next with 36.5 in. blade, broad central fuller, iron cross piece, hide bound hilt; the last with broad blade 35.5 in. and struck with crescent moon marks, brass cross piece, bone grip, plain hide scabbard. Ames Cutler Springfield'; gilt-brass hilt, boat shell guard with beaded panel to the outer edge, quillons with stars in relief to the ends, slender knuckle bow with beaded panels to the centre, acanthus engraved ovoid pommel, tang secured by a square nut with star in low relief to the top and incuse stars to the sides, steel wire bound grip; gilt brass mounted black leather scabbard, buff leather frog; the buff leather belt with gilt brass clasp with 'U.S.' in foliate letters within a wreath, also by Ames. A Prussian model 1889 Infantry officer's sword, straight bi-fullered blade 1.5 in., marked for Eickhorn of Solingen and with 'Erfurt' under a crown, date mark for 1893; brass hilt, the two outer bars inhabited by an Imperial eagle in low relief, inside of the guard unit stamped 'B.K. 71. D. 29', fish skin grip overlaid with Imperial cypher; steel scabbard; possibly an NCO's example.

The battle of Magdala was the decisive engagement of the Anglo-Abyssinian war of 1868, and in its aftermath a considerable number of crosses of various sizes are known to have been appropriated by the British. This role was known as the 'Marshal of the Ceremonies' until 1920, when the offices of the Marshal and Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps were instituted
