A SCARCE THIRD REICH SECOND PATTERN LUFTWAFFE DAGGER OF FALLSCHIRMJAGER & CRETE INTEREST, 24.5cm flattened diamond section blade by Eickhorn, etched with the memorium Hans Korner gefallen 20.5.41 Kreta, regulation alloy hilt with wire bound orange celluloid grip, contained in its stippled steel scabbard complete with straps. Hans Korner was killed at Heraklion and is buried at the Maleme cemetery on the island of Crete.

DRESS UNIFORM TO BRIGADIER BASIL EDWARD FLOYD– THE COMMANDER OF ROYAL ARTILLERY ON MALTA IN 1940. Made by Flights of Winchester & Aldershot, Tailors label named to Lieut Floyd. With Lieutenants insignia.With dress belt, sash and cross guard belt. Private Purchase ruler, boots and scabbard for 1 1897 pattern sword. Provenance - Sale by order of the family.Basil Edward Floyd was born in Birmingham in 1887. Floyd was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on September 10th 1910, into the Royal Garrison Artillery. He had been a member of the Territorial Force while at University. Floyd served on the Western Front during the Great War, landing there on October 4th 1914 and was entitled to the 1914 Star Bar Trio. He was twice Mentioned in Despatches ( 8.2.17 & 6.8.18), was awarded a French Croix De Guerre, gazetted September 4th 1917. He received the Military Cross in the 1918 New Year's Honours. He continued to serve in the post-war years, and by the spring of 1940, was an Acting Brigadier; he assumed command of the Royal Artillery on Malta on May 24th 1940. Brigadier Floyd survived the Second World War and passed away in Plymouth in the summer of 1958.
AN RZM MAKER MARKED SA DAGGER, maker marked RZM M7/2 attributed to Emil Voos Waffenfabrik, Solingen. Blade has the motto "Alles für Deutschland". The plating is lifting on the top of the handle and crossguard, with the handle having cracks. The scabbard and dagger have been married, the scabbard having solid nickel fittings. We believe this to be a parts dagger. The blade is just over 22cm and in poor condition.
A HITLER YOUTH DAGGER early 1933 example by Herbertz & Meurer Solingen Ges Gesch. The blade has the motto Blut und Ehre, which is slightly faint. The blade is 14cm's in length. Scabbard and hanger are both in good condition. Overall a nice example with expected wear to the blade and slight surface rust to the handle.
A SECOND WORLD WAR KRIEGSMARINE DAGGER, maker Paul Weyersberg & Co Solingen. The blade has the fouled anchor nautical etch; it is in very good condition. The scabbard is the lightning bolt type. A white-handled example with some small, the pommel and crossguard are in excellent condition, the blade circa 25.5cm.
A SECOND WORLD WAR GERMAN ARMY DAGGER, maker marked WKC; the blade is in clean condition, with orange handle and nicely toned pommel and crossguard. The scabbard is in good condition, with a set of hangers attached. The hangers are maker marked DRGM, they have some oxidisation, and the material is worn in places.The blade 25.5cm longOverall, an attractive example.

AN AMERICAN CIVIL WAR PRESENTATION SWORD TO LIEUTENANT JOSEPH GILMOUR 2ND COMPANY 18TH REGIMENT PV 30-inch blade, white metal handle, by W H Horstmann of Philadelphia, the shark skin scabbard with white metal attachments. The plaque on the scabbard engraved - Capt Jos Gilmour by members of Co II 18th Regt PV 1862. The sword belonged to Joseph Gilmour, who formed the 18th Regiment of Cavalry at Titusville, Crawford County, Pa., in September 1862. Gilmour was promoted to Major on November 28th 1862; however, he had a short and unsuccessful war. On March 1st 1863, he led 200 men on a westward reconnaissance operations towards Aldie, Virginia. He failed to follow his orders for the operation and mistook men of the 1st Vermont Cavalry for enemy soldiers. He turned and fled at full speed from the friendly forces; for his actions, he was court-martialed. It is unclear if he took any further part in the war.
Two military bayonettes, the first probably Australian, early-mid 20th century, stamped with a Star and 90 within a shield, stamped Lithgow, with wooden handle and leather and metal scabbard, 43 cm long (the blade), and a German Waffenfabrik Mauser A.G. Oberndorf bayonet, stamped 2 to hilt and W 8 to top of blade, with wooden handle and metal scabbard, the blade 23.5 cm long (the blade) (2)
