Gurkha Kukri in Leather Scabbard, Old period kukri with decorative handle and sheathed in a patterned leather scabbard. The blade has suffered from rusting but could be cleaned up easily enough. One of the two sharpening blades remain. The leather on the under side has had a tear and showing signs of its age all round.

WW1 US Army P17 Bayonet, Good original example of a first war US P17 bayonet and scabbard. Manufactured by Remington with the usual ‘Flaming Grenade’ stamp and ‘1917’ to the blade. US pattern scabbard with webbing belt prongs to the top. Overall good condition with the leather in good condition and the fixing catch in working order.

WW1 German Trench Fighting Knife, Good original example of a WW1 German fighting knife, this one complete with scabbard, is in fair condition. The scabbard itself has rusted and lost all of its original finish; the leather belt loop is in place but the handle keeper has unfortunately broken. Original wooden grips still remain in place on the knife. The blade itself has also got rust markings upon it. Could be cleaned up nicely and make a good displayable piece of trench warfare equipment.

Sudanese Sword Kaskara: Mahdist Period Sword Kaskara, broad straight double edge blade 96cms cut with a long single narrow fuller flanked by a short pair of similar fullers and struck with crescent moons, and etched with short Islamic inscriptions, brass crosspiece, leather covered grip and pommel (chipped), in its leather scabbard with swollen tip (hanging bands missing). Good condition, some age wear overall and North African Tribal Sword Takouba, Late 19th Century, straight double edge blade 74.5cms moderately pitted, iron crosspiece of conventional form (1 upward pointing langet missing), brass pommel, grip missing. Good condition, some age wear. 2 items

Blade 30cms, overall 45cms; Nepalese kukri with horn grip, polished blade with etched decoration. Housed in leather covered wooden scabbard with skinning knives to the rear. 2 items

WW2 US Army Doughboy Pack Complete with Bayonet, Meat Can Pouch and T-Handle Shovel, Original US Army webbing equipment, comprising of the doughboy pack, t-handle shovel, M1 bayonet, meat can pouch and the wool blanket. The pack itself is in good condition, retaining all its straps and buckles as should, no date is visible on this example. US stamped T-handle shovel is in good condition, in the original 1942 dated cover. The meat can pouch is certainly, ‘well worn’, but very much original. Completing this lot is the M1 bayonet, dated 1942 to the blade and the manufacturer ‘UFH’ in its original scabbard. US Army wool blanket fills the pack as per normal. Overall good complete back equipment.

WW2 German Hitler Youth Knife Transitional Pattern, Good honest example of a 1936 dated Hitler Youth knife. The particular on is of that transitional period, featuring the makers mark of ‘J.A.Henckels, Solingen’ and the RZM makers code upon the blade of M7/10, below is the date of 1936. On the reverse side is the ‘Blut Und Ehre!’ motto, or ‘Blood and Honour’. The HJ emblem sits inset on the right-hand side of the blade with no damage with to the badge or grips. The blade has been sharpened in its lifetime and has a chip on the blades edge. The scabbard is in very fair condition with only minimal rusting to the metal work. The leather belt loop is in good condition with slight surface wear and a working pop stud. Overall a honest example of an early HJ knife with interesting details.

Slade Wallace Equipment, 1888 Pattern, Slade Wallace webbing set, which has a mixture of original and reproduction pieces. The belt, buckle and bayonet frog are genuine pieces, the rest being reproduction and theatre made bits of the webbing. Complete with repro water bottle and grey blanket. Original Enfield 1853 pattern socket bayonet included with this lot, with period repair to the lower part of the scabbard. Good for reenactment or display purposes.
