German fire brigade axe with the steel axe head having engraved presentation, ‘Anläfslich 20 jähriges tadellosen Dienstzeit’ (On the occasion of 20 years of impeccable service), with wooden haft and nickel silver lower fitting. Scarce WW2 German Army Cavalry Regiment No14 Enlisted Ranks Etched Sword by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, good example of a cavalry enlisted ranks / NCO’s sword with plated steel mounts, celluloid grip with wire binding, small crack to the celluloid. Attached to the grip is a other ranks pattern portepee. Curved blade etched with pattern and blued panel having regimental details, reverse of the blade etched with scenes of cavalry troops on horsebacks and army eagles to both sides. Carl Eickhorn makers trademark. Blade 76cms, overall 89 ½ cms. Blade with some surface staining / pitting. No scabbard. Actual WW2 / Third Reich period etched sword blades are much harder to find than those of the Imperial German army.
Third Reich SS (Schutzstaffel) Dress Dagger by Ernst Pack & Sohne RZM 1211/39, typical later type RZM period dress dagger with ebony grip having eagle and enamel SS rune insignia. Plating lifting and bubbling to the upper and lower mounts. Housed in its original scabbard. Double edged blade with motto ‘Meine Ehre heist Treue’ and reverse with RZM logo and ‘1211/39’ and SS runes. The blade 22cms, overall 37 ½ cms. The blade remains in very good overall condition, the exterior shows wear.
Scarce Imperial German / 1930’s Deluxe Pattern Military Academy Officials Parade Sword, fine quality officers lion head sword with jewelled ruby eyes. Fine deep relief of oakleaves to the knuckle guard, cross guard with lion head finial and langet with crossed flaming torches. Reverse of the langet with deep cut / relief with shield for the owners initials to be engraved. Shagreen covered grip with wire binding. Housed in leather and plated fittings scabbard with staples to the reverse of the scabbard mounts and two hanging rings. Fine curved polish blade with etched decoration including trophy of arms. Makers details to the base of the blade under the langet, but this is not clear. Blade 74cms, overall 97cms. An interesting and unusual sword.
Third Reich TENO (Technische Nothilfe) Enlisted Mans Dress Dagger with Leather Hanger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, good example with two white celluloid grip plates, eagle head pommel top and cross guard with the original eagle and TENO emblem. Housed in the original blackened scabbard with plated top and lower scabbard mounts. Attached to the scabbard is the original black leather special pattern hanger with metal clips and thin securing strap which has damage that is very common with these hangers. Top of the scabbard throat is stamped with issue numbers ‘7770’, these numbers are lightly etched to the blade under the cross guard. The standard hewer blade has TENO emblem with ‘GES GESCH’ and Carl Eickhorn, Solingen makers trademark to the reverse. The blade measures 24 ½ cms, overall 41cms. Light areas of plating lifting to the exterior fittings and wear to the hanger but generally a good example of this type of dress dagger.
Third Reich SS (Schutzstaffel) Officers Chained Dress Dagger with Dedication to the Blade, fine untouched example of an early SS officers dress dagger with the original eagle and enamel SS runes emblem. The scabbard with type 2 chains has some light wear. SS acceptance stamp to the reverse of the chains. Attached to the grip is an original but worn officers dress portepee / knot. Some light denting to the bottom chape. Double edged blade with motto ‘Meine Ehre heist Treue’ and the reverse has a two line engraved dedication, ‘In Kameradschaft Stab R.3 u Führer d Stürme’. The blade measures 22cms, overall 37cms. Some wear to the blade and exterior fittings but generally a good untouched example with an original engraved dedication to the blade.

Double edged blade with the makers trademark to the base. The blade measures 25cms, overall 42 ½ cms. The black grip Luftwaffe daggers by Klaas are known in collectors circles as the funeral dagger, but it is believed they were actually just a batch of daggers which had black grips which were painted white originally, some examples can be found with remains or all of the white paint finish.

Rare Third Reich NSKK Marine Officers Chained Dress Dagger, super and rare example of a later type NSKK marine leaders (NSKK-Kraftbooteinheiten) dress dagger. Brown wooden grip with aluminium eagle and enamel SA device emblem to the grip. Exterior fittings and scabbard fittings with the later high copper content finish which gives the fittings a copper effect finish. Full length hanging chains with working clip fitting. Reverse of the chains are stamped with ‘MUSTERSCHUTZ NSKK-KORPSFUHRUNG’ and RZM M5/8. The blade is a standard type with motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’. No makers trademark to the reverse. The blade has some staining and scuffs from the scabbard runners. The blade 22cms, overall 38cms. Some light scuffs to the scabbard and general patina to the exterior of the dagger but still a good example of a very rare dress dagger.

Black / dark blue leather covering to the grip with wire binding and the same covering to the scabbard. Double edged blade with makers trademark to the reverse. The blade measures 25cms, overall 42cms. Some wear and staining to the blade, the leather on the scabbard missing in small section towards the bottom fitting. A very hard dagger to locate.

Plain cross guard and langet. SS style bullion dress portepee / knot attached to the grip. Housed in the original blackened scabbard. Slightly curved blade with makers trade mark to the base under the langet. The blade measures 75cms, overall 98cms. Scabbard ring absent, very tight fit to the scabbard, indicating possible replacement. Before the introduction of the standard SS sword degen, many German army swords were worn by SS officers, many either being silver plated or having the gilt finish removed, some examples have green jewelled eyes or the red like this example. Third Reich Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) Labour Service Officers Dress Dagger by Paul Weyersberg & Co, Solingen, good untouched example of a RAD officers dress dagger with two piece white grips, much of the original finish remaining to the eagle head and cross guard with RAD emblem to the centre. Some light areas of plating lifting to the rear of the cross guard. Housed in the original scabbard with the two hanging mounts fixed. Standard type blade with motto ‘Arbeit adelt’ and makers trade mark to the reverse. Overall a good example with nice patina to the fittings. Blade 26cms, overall 40cms.
Third Reich NSKK Mans Dagger with Personal Dedication to Blade by E Knecht & Co, Solingen, fine example with dark brown wooden grip having nickel eagle and enamel SA emblem devices. Nickel top and lower mounts with the reverse of the lower mount being stamped with district mark ‘Wn’. Housed in the original blackened scabbard with single short black leather hanging strap. The blade is double edged and with standard motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’. Reverse of the blade has the makers trademark logo of the two stag heads and a fine lightly engraved dedication ‘Für treue Kameradschaft Götz, Sturmhauptführer 1.1.37’. The blade 22 ¼ cms, overall 37 ½ cms. Much of the blackening to the motto remains, some scuffs to the scabbard finish but generally a very good example.
Third Reich Unit Marked Luftwaffe 1st Pattern Officers Dress Dagger by Rare Maker Gebr Heller, Marienthal, good early example in nickel silver with sun dial swastika to the centre of the pommel with the gilt finish remaining. Cross guard with sun dial swastika to the centre of the obverse and the reverse has had the swastika polished out, which would indicate this was done by the original owner and not part of the denazification period as the other swastikas would have been removed. The underside of the cross guard is unit marked ‘Flg. H. Kp. Stadel’. Housed in the original blue leather covered scabbard with nickel silver mounts, the reverse of the top mount also unit engraved ‘Flg. H. Kp. Stadel 1’. Double edged blade which is stamped with a number ‘1’ and the reverse side has the makers trademark of the boy with balloons. Some wear to the blade with slight rounding to the tip. The blade measures 30 ½ cms, overall 48 ½ cms. The exterior shows some wear, dents to the lower chape of scabbard, blue leather covering absent in places on the scabbard and section of Verdigris to the pommel. Hard maker to find for this dagger.

Pommel with swastika to both sides and cross guard in the form of Luftwaffe eagle in flight. Housed in the original scabbard which retains much of the original blued finish. The blade is etched with image of a Luftwaffe flak gun and ‘Gewidmet v. I / Flak R 25 2.1.1939’. The blade has makers trade mark to the reverse. Blade with some spotting. The blade measures 24 ¾ cms, overall 42 ½ cms. One very small chip to the grip near the ferrule but otherwise generally a good example.

(Dedicated by your sons Heinz and Alfred for promotion in the war year 1941). Spine etched with foliage and the reverse of the blade also etched with foliage pattern. Some light wear to the blade but generally good condition. The blade measures 84cms, overall 103 ½ cms.

The lower cross guard is not district stamped which is typical of daggers by this RZM manufacturer. Double edged blade with motto ‘Meine Ehre heist Treue’ and reverse with RZM logo SS runes and ‘121/34’ between. The blade 22cms, overall 37cms. Some crazing to the finish on the scabbard and evidence of a vertical hanger once being present.

The lower cross guard and the top scabbard mount are stamped ‘Mar. Br. 4 E. SCHULZ 9099’. Blackened anodised scabbard which has an original three piece leather hanger. Good condition double edged blade with the motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’ which retains much of the original blackened finish. Makers trademark to the reverse of the blade. Some light pitting but generally a good condition blade. The blade measures 22cms, overall 37cms. Overall this is a very good example of a rare and desirable 1st pattern marine SA dagger, the later patterns having the gilded fittings. The dagger blade has the early Carl Eickhorn, Solingen makers trademark to the reverse. The blade measures 22cms, overall 37 ½ cms. On the 15th December 1933, the SA Headquarters officially decided to institute a dagger to be worn with the SA uniform. On Christmas 1933 the first grouping of SA daggers were delivered to the higher SA leaders. These daggers are referred to as ‘Weihnachtsdolch’ (Christmas Dagger) and they have different design mottos to the later examples. This particular example is a transitional pattern with standard SA fittings. See previous lot for a earlier example with the 1927 pattern eagle
WW2 German Army Enlisted Ranks Sword with Personalisation by Alcoso, Solingen, standard enlisted ranks sword with steel dove head mounts, black celluloid grip with wire binding. Attached to the grip is an enlisted ranks knot / portepee. Housed in the original black scabbard. Polished curved blade with makers trademark to the base under the langet. The blade has a crude period engraving in memory of the original owner service with 2./Kav Regt 13 1938-1940. Inscription in the same style to the reverse of the blade also. Inscription not easy to read. Blade 82 cms, overall 96cms.
German Reichsmarine 1929 Pattern Naval Officers Dagger by E & F Horster, Solingen, good example of the flame pommel top dagger, white celluloid grip with wire binding, brass cross guard with fouled anchor and press stud. Officers bullion dress knot / portepee attached to the grip. Housed in its original scabbard with two hanging rings. Fine double edged blade with fine etched decoration with fouled anchor and foliage. Blade measures 25 ¼ cms, overall 40cms.
Third Reich Transitional SS (Schutzstaffel) Dress Dagger by Robert Klaas, Solingen, good example of a transitional pattern RZM dress dagger with grip having aluminium eagle and enamel SS runes. Typical RZM plated fittings to the grip mounts and the scabbard mounts. Double edged blade with motto ‘Meine Ehre heist Treue’, reverse with Robert Klass trademark and RZM ‘M7/37 RZM 1051/39’ and SS runes. Couple of nicks to the edge of the blade. The blade measures 22cms, overall 37 cms. Some wear to the exterior fittings which is typical of RZM pieces. The transitional SS daggers are much harder to find than those of the SA.
WW2 German Kriegsmarine Officers Dress Dagger by WKC, good orange grip example with the original wire binding. Brass eagle pommel top and cross guard with fouled anchor having press stud to the reverse. Housed in polished deluxe pattern hammered scabbard with two hanging rings. Double edged blade with engraved fouled anchor and foliage. WKC makers trademark to the base. Much of the original polish remains to the blade. The blade measures 25 cms, overall 42 cms.
Third Reich SA Feldherrnhalle Dagger by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, this most interesting piece being a mixture of original and later produced parts of probably the rarest German dress dagger which was ever produced, the SA Feldherrnhalle. The dagger has brown wooden grip with eagle and swastika top pommel, the cross guard has SA emblem to the centre. Housed in a plated brass scabbard with two hanging rings. Double edged blade with motto ‘Alles für Deutschland’ and has the Carl Eickhorn makers trademark to the reverse. The blade measures 27 ¾ cms, overall 45cms. The SA Feldherrnhalle dagger was instituted in 1937 for the leaders of the Standarte Feldherrnhalle and for leaders in the staff of the SA Chief of Staff Viktor Lutze. The design of the dagger was created by Paul Casberg and was exclusively manufactured by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen. The daggers were all numbered and it is believed that about fifty were manufactured. In the 1960’s some original parts, including the blades were found in one of the Eickhorn factories, these were then sold and fittings were manufactured and daggers were produced for the collecting market, this is what we believe this example to be and is being sold as. These later produced examples are highly sought after by collectors today as an original examples are almost impossible to find and when they do come onto the market demand a premium price which most collectors can not justify.
WW2 German Army Officers Sword by Robert Klaas, Solingen, good example of a dove head pattern army sword with eagle to the cross guard langet, oakleaves relief to the knuckle guard, pommel and back strap. Black celluloid grip with wire binding. Finish worn from the ferrule. Housed in the original blackened scabbard with single hanging ring. Polished slightly curved blade with makers trademark to the base under the langet. The blade measures 77 ½ cms, overall 95cms.
Third Reich Government Officials Dress Dagger by Alcoso, Solingen, fine example of a Government officials dress dagger with two piece mother of pearl grips, patina to the eagle head pommel and cross guard with government style eagle. Attached to the dagger is an officers bullion dress knot / portepee, this is not a Government officials small pattern but appears to have been present on the dagger for a long time. Housed in the original scabbard with oakleaf hanging ring bands. Excellent condition double edged blade with much of the original finish remaining. Makers trademark to the reverse of the blade. The blade measures 25 ¾ cms, overall 39 ½ cms. Overall an excellent example of a rare Third Reich era dress dagger.
Victorian 1879 Pattern Martini Henry carbine heavy artillery saw back sword bayonet having black chequered grips (oneside A/F), press stud pommel, ' D ' shaped steel knuckle guard, muzzle hole and saw back fullered blade within a leather and steel scabbard. Ordinance markings and VR cipher to the ricasso and further markings to the back of the grip ' J.L '.
Italian model 1925 MVSN dagger of thin cruciform blade in plain steel. Quillion with hexagonal profile, with rounded ball-shaped finials at top and bottom. Quillion stamped "A076" on one side and "MVSN" on the other. Slender hilt of wood with metal top leading to an enlarged, rounded pommel that slopes downwards. wooden grips and Slender scabbard, with ball-point finial. Single piece metal belt loop, consisting of two rings and slanted loop, welded and rivetted to body of scabbard.
Edward VII 1897 Pattern British officer’s infantry sword made by John Jones & Co, 6 Regent Street London. With ERVII cypher to Nickle handguard and etched with crowned Royal cypher and royal arms with stylised flowering foliage, wire bound fish skin covered grip, 105896 impressed to spine of blade. Together with field service leather scabbard (A/F – needs replacing)
