A mid Century Naval Officers dress sword and belt, the 80cm single edge fullered blade, and spear tip, the ricasso marked 'Crown Swords/England' with proof slug to the reverse, with gold plated guard with fouled anchor, wire bound grip and sword knot, contained within a leather and metal mounted scabbard, 96.5cms overall; together with a black leather sword belt with gilt metal hangars and gold plated belt buckle with a fouled anchor below a crown. A composite 1796 type cavalry officer’s sword, the 32” engraved, blued and gilt blade and steel scabbard of Light Cavalry pattern, the steel hilt of Heavy Cavalry pattern but with “ears” extending from the backstrap over the replacement leather covered grip. QGC (blade worn but retaining some original blued and gilt finish, the hilt and scabbard pitted overall, one hanging ring detached but present). This appears to be a Heavy Cavalry hilt “married” to a Light Cavalry blade, the matching pitting of the two parts suggests that this was done some time ago. £100-200

Mole & Son, Birmingham, Makers to the War & India Officers”, with regulation pattern WM hilt and leather knot, in its GS mounted leather covered FS scabbard. GC, the blade retaining original polish (slight wear to scabbard leather). Probably a re-hilted family blade. £300-400

Basically GC (blade and grip binding worn, quillon bent, scabbard mounts dented). £150-200.
A late 19th century American Society sword of the “Uniform Rank Red Men (Chieftain’s League)”, DE blade 30” etched with maker’s name “The Pettibone Bros. Mfg. Co”, panels with wigwam, crossed axes, bow and arrows etc, owner’s name “A H Ellison”, and “U.R.R.M.”; gilt hilt with embossed double shell guard, pommel and knucklebow, and wire bound buff leather covered grip; in its plated scabbard with pierced and embossed gilt brass mounts, and hanging chain with hook. GC (slight wear to gilt) £100-150.
