Cavalry sabre, 91cm curved blade, unmarked, two bar guard, wire bound grip, with metal scabbard.Condition report:Scabbard is free from any indentations but overall patina is poor - corrosion and light rusting throughout. Scabbard and blade both retain a good shape. Scabbard measures 95cm, blade is 91cm, overall length is 109.5cm. The pommel is tight and without any movement. The wire grip moves slightly but remains tight and effective. The blade is heavily greased. Pommel and hilt are stamped '22' but no other maker's marks.

MILITARIA - A GREAT WAR IMPERIAL GERMAN M1898 MAUSER BAYONET the 36.5cm (14 1/4 inch) blade marked to the back edge '[crown] / W / 16', and to the ricasso '... & F. HORSTER / SOLINGEN', the hilt with wood slab grips, in its leather scabbard with metal mounts, overall 60cm long. Condition Report : Generally sound, original condition; some light surface rusting and areas of pitting to blade; blade slightly bent. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting (where possible) any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
An 1864 pattern cavalry sword, with 89cm blade and pierced guard, steel scabbard, overall length without scabbard 103cm.Condition Report: Blade with pitting and corrosion marks throughout which have been cleaned. Scabbard with one large dent and other smaller dents, scratches and scuffs and a painting of pitting and an overly cleaned appearance. Leather stop at the end of the blade is not original. Grip with genera, age wear and possible a tear which has been repaired but not recently. Pommel numbered 86 or 98. Please see additional images. Scabbard may not be original to blade.
A British cavalry sabre, with scabbard, with a later sabre with indistinct name to the blade and with wirebound shagreen type grip (2).Condition Report: The earlier sabre is in heavily worn condition which is pitted throughout and rusted and is very tired, etc, the other wirebound fishskin sword with general wear, pitting, tarnishing, etc, throughout. The scabbards are not dented but may not be original to the blades. Blades insert in one way. Blades are not bent, blade lengths are 56cm with a width of 3cm at the guard, the other is 57.5cm with a width of 2.9cm at guard. One of the scabbard tips is slightly rounded. The pommels do not have any jiggle. The scabbards and swords are numbered - please see additional images.
