A fine quality George VI Royal Naval Officers sword The 80cm single edged single fullered blade with acid etched decoration of George the VI cipher surmounted by a crown and Gievis, the gilt metal guard decorated with a fouled anchor and sword knot, complete with a black leather and gilt metal mounted scabbard, sword bag and sword belt. (illustrated) CONDITION REPORT: Lot 222: belt worn, some staining and rust marks to blade, original owners name on guard, otherwise in good condition.
A World War II Nazi Germany Luftwaffe Officers pilots sword The 71.5cm straight double edged blade marked for SMF of Solingen, with aluminum crossguard decorated as wings with a stylised Swastika, with blue leather grip with twist wire decoration, with matching Swastika decorated pommel, complete with a matching leather and aluminium mounted scabbard with hanging strap, complete with original sword bag, the vendors father who was in the East Lancashire Regiment at the end of the war whilst in his armoured vehicle came across a pocket of Germans who he was going capture, however they offered him this sword to let them go which he did. [No Reserve]" Fair condition; one face cracked.
A George V infantry officer's dress sword, with pierced knuckle guard and the acid etched blade inscribed "E.Thurkle 5.Denmark St Soho London", length 103cm, in wooden scabbard (missing leather). CONDITION REPORT: There is a significant surface corrosion to the blade and knuckle guard, the scabbard is missing its leather.
