A late 19th or early 20th Century Omani jambiya (dagger) in white metal and leather mounted scabbard with white metal handle and curved blade CONDITION REPORTS Measures approx 37 x 21 cm. Has some small splits etc and areas of patination and possible repair. There are holes to the leather to the back. Leather work is worn and slightly misplaced and is rolling at the edges. Blade itself has some rusting and pitting throughout. The knife and scabbard are associated. Has general wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details

German Third Reich Hunting Association cutlass by Max Weyersberg, the etched blade decorated with a huntsman, dog, stags and deer, marked 'WMW Waffen' fitted into a staghorn grip with deer leg guard, green leather scabbard. 48cm overall length Condition report: Generally good condition overall. The blade has occasional feint pitting spots. The mounts of the scabbard have some small patches of pitting. The leather is possibly newer. Plating to the mounts is generally good over with only minor signs of wear. No condition reports for this sale.

A near pair of Indian sword tulwars, late 19th century, each having gilt copper hilt with incised decoration en suite with the chape, screw-on bulbous pommel and straight single edge blade, in black velvet-covered scabbard, and an additional matching pommel L 81cm (blade)Provenance: Formerly the property of Leonard Harry Baybut (1900-1960) and thence by descent.Having served in the RAF in World War I, Leonard Baybut went to India and, by 1935, was running his own furniture factory in Srinagar. In the mid-1940's, as a result of being awarded the contract to refurnish Gulab Bhavan, the summer palace of the Maharajas of Jammu and Kashmir, he struck up an enduring friendship with the last Maharaja, Hari Singh (1895-1961). The relationship developed further when Leonard accepted the post of private secretary to the Maharaja in 1948-9, a position he held until ill-health forced him to retire and return to England in 1959.
