DAWKES, BIRMINGHAM A .750 FLINTLOCK MUSKET, MODEL 'INDIA PATTERN 'BROWN-BESS'', no visible serial number, WITH BAYONET, first quarter of the 19th century, with 39in. barrel (darkly stained), block fore-sight, no provision for rear-sight, Tower proofs, moulded band at breech and solid top-tang, borderline engraved bevel-edged stepped tail lock signed on the tail 'DAWKES' and with crown over 'G.R.' device below pan, swan-necked cock, hand-rail walnut full-stock with carved apron around the top-tang, brass furniture except iron stirrup swivels and replacement ramrod (some age related cracks and small losses to fore-end and paint speckles), complete with a period socket bayonet (possibly unassociated) and later scabbard.

NEUHAUSEN, SWITZERLAND A 7.5x53 (SWISS) STRAIGHT-PULL CAVALRY CARBINE, MODEL 'MANNLICHER M93', serial no. 1007, WITH SADDLE-SCABBARD, circa 1895, with concealed 22 1/2in. barrel, protected fore-sight, elevating rear-sight with folding blade, blued receiver with straight-pull bolt, walnut full-stock, iron furniture, round profile fore-end and top-cover, matching number detachable magazine and a strong amount of finish remaining, complete with period leather sling (distressed) and its issue leather saddle scabbard with straps, dated 1916.
