An Ed VII 1831 pattern General officer's sword, curved flat blade 31½", etched with crown, Ed VII cypher, crossed baton and sword, wreath within scrolled fenestrated panels, with owner's scroll F Campbell and crest with motto near forte, regulation mameluke hilt, white composition grips, in its leather FS scabbard. Basically GC (blade some dark rust patches, mostly to left side). Plate 9 Lots 746 - 747 belonged to General Sir Frederick Campbell, KCB, DSO, DL (1860-1943) who served in India, Tibet and WWI; details of career are included with each lot.

Basically GC (blade some wear and light pitting, lower section of scabbard detached, pommel repaired)
