Straight quillon, parry quillon ending in a lion's head. Guard with a frame in the centre. Mother-of-pearl grip (defects). Pommel flattened transverse to the blade, centre with anthropomorphic face between palm branches and lion's heads. dating: about 1810 provenance: Kingdom of Naples, Straight, double-edged blade of hexagonal section, on the right side, within a slightly pronounced fuller, the motto 'VIVA FERNANDO IV POR LA GOD', while on the left side 'REY DE LAS DOS SICLIAS'; both inscriptions within a frame and between remains of engravings. Fine gilt bronze hilt, quillon with quillon decorated in the central part with five balls (breakage) and connected to the grip by a decoration carved with an anchor, stirrup guard also decorated with five balls. Pommel worked as a cushion and provided with a button. Walrus grip with small longitudinal grooves, this one adorned with four staves worked en suite with the guard, the face on the right side also decorated with an engraved disc depicting an anchor. Leather scabbard with brass mounts (missing chape), one lug. length 87.5 cm.

On the left side a gilt cartouche (the inlay was probably refreshed later) with inscription in Arabic characters. Fine silver hilt, quillon with quillons bending towards the blade and decorated with buds. The surface with laurel frames bordering a cartouche on the center of crossguard with an engraved flag trophy, the rear side with similar decoration but with a floral composition instead of a trophy. Marks on both sides of the hilt, one in Tughra. Grip decorated with flag and banner trophies and engraved flowers (some bumps and deformation). Wooden scabbard with earlier leather cover. Silver mounts worked en suite with the sword. Cap with engraved trophies of flags and cannons, Tughra mark and other marks. The bands worked en suite with the hilt, and marked.
