Originally purchased by a Lieutenant in the Staffordshire Regiment. Condition report: Sword and parade scabbard fully refurbished by Wilkinson Sword in 1995, with some minor pitting to blade
A 19th Century BSA Springfield conversion cartridge piece, hammer action, the side plate stamped with Victorian Royal cypher and "BSA Co" trade mark, dated 1871, the walnut stock stamped "Enfield No. 1", 140.5 cm long overall, together with dummy round and Brown Bess type bayonet in leather scabbard CONDITION REPORTS Various splits, chips and bumps and repairs, and appears to have been revarnished. New leather strap. New scabbard. Butt very dented. Some tarnish and pitting to metal fitments.

A George V Kings Shropshire Light Infantry Officer's sword, the engraved blade with shagreen covered grip and pierced knuckle guard inscribed "KSLI", 99 cm long overall, housed in a leather covered scabbard CONDITION REPORTS Scabbard with quite heavy wear and scuffs, some tears to leather, various replacement sections of leather (please see photos). A 19th Century 1822 pattern sword by Mole of Birmingham, the slightly curved fullered blade with wirework decorated leather grip and pierced scrollwork knuckle guard, 99 cm long overall, housed in a steel scabbard CONDITION REPORTS Blade near the grip has impressed mark "Mole Birmn", blade with areas of wear and scuffs and discolouration, first section is of a much darker colour so possibly has had some work or restoration and is currently greased/oiled, grip quite worn and with losses where wood beneath is showing through, generally with wear and tarnish, and scabbard with some minor wear, knocks, dents and bumps, and tarnish and some rusting, very tip of the point of the blade is dented/buckled, blade does not appear to bear any marks other than the "Mole Birmn" mark, most of the wire decoration to the grip is missing, scabbard overall appears in reasonable condition and still fits the blade comfortably with the blade quite free moving, grip and pommel appear to be firm. An RAF dress sword in the manner of Wilkinsons of Pall Mall, the engraved fullered blade with shagreen and wirework grip, the pierced brass knuckle guard with RAF insignia, the handle with eagles head finial, 96 cm long overall, housed in a brass mounted leather scabbard, together with a black leatherette outer scabbard bearing label inscribed "Flight. Lieut. E H Fielden" crossed out to read "Wing Commander", and another label inscribed "HRH The Duke of Kent, K.G. Wing Commander E H Fielden ..." (Provenance : Air Vice Marshall Sir Edward "Mouse" Fielden GCVO, CB, DFC, AFC [deceased], personal pilot to Edward VIII when Prince of Wales, Chief Air Pilot and Extra Equerry, then Captain of the King's Flight/Queen's Flight - for further information please contact the Auctioneers) CONDITION REPORTS Outer black cover with chamois interior is quite worn and creased and has replacement strap, and some small tears, bears "HRH The Duke of Kent KG" label with ink inscription verso "EHF's sword cover hanging in Fr. Hall", and inscribed in pen "Wing Commander Fielden" and a label stamped "Flight.Lieut H Fielden", and written in ink "Wing Commander". Scabbard has had some repairs and inserted sections (please see photos), and has wear and scuffs. Sword : the very tip is bent over, blade generally with some light wear and scuffs, grip and knuckle guard with some general wear and scuffs, some of the wirework has moved/is coming loose, some slight tarnish.
An early 20th Century Court sword, the etched blade inscribed "Hill Brothers, Old Bond St, London", with engraving of flags verso, the hilt of shaped cup form inscribed with Victorian Royal cypher, the wirework handle with wrythen twist decorate knuckle guard and Queens Crown pommel, 92 cm long overall, housed in an engraved brass mounted leather scabbard, together with leatherette outer case CONDITION REPORTS Outer black case is quite worn and deteriorated with some losses to surface of fabric and some small splits and repairs. Scabbard with some wear and scuffs, and some splits to leather. Very tip of the sword is slightly bent, blade with some light general wear and scuffs, grip with some light wear and a small section of the wound wirework is separating.

A No. 7 Mark I bayonet in black painted scabbard, a Victorian 1888 pattern Mark I second type bayonet, the blade with raised medial ridge to each side and numerous re-issue markings, wooden grip and steel mounted leather scabbard, and two further bayonets and scabbards CONDITION REPORTS All with various wear, scuffs and scratches. Bayonet with grip marked "660" has some small holes to the wooden grip as well as various bumps, knocks and scuffs.
