Sword: A Victorian Pattern 1895 Engineers Infantry Officers Sword in its leather field service scabbard with khaki cover. Blade 32" with makers name 'ROB MOLE & SONS BIRMINGHAM MAKERS TO THE WAR & INDIA OFFICES' etched to ricasso. Royal Engineers Cypher to blade. VR Crown to steel bowl. (Blade appears to have Geo V Crown (Edward VII?). Sword in very good condition with some light wear. Good wirebound fishskin grip. Overall a good example. (frog strap a/f)
Sword: An 1827 Pattern Rifle Officers sword by Wilkinson Sword, logo but no number to blade. Indian Government stamp to Ricasso, W/D Arrow stamp and 'I' (India) I.S.D. - Indian Subordinate Department. Steel guard with strung bugle device. Good wirebound fishskin grip. In its black leather field service scabbard dated 1915, 1917 & 1935. Frog tab absent. A good quality sword in fine condition.
Sword: An Edward VII, 1821 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Officers sword. Single edged blade 35" etched with the E VII R Cipher. Ricasso marked 'HAWKES & Co., 14 PICADILLY LONDON'. In its steel scabbard (a few light dents). Nicely patinated overall. Good wirebound fishskin grip. (tiny loss to base of fishskin). A decent sword & a 'sleeper'.
Sword: An English made late 19th early 20th century Hunting Sword. Blade approx. 50cms. Ricasso with Lion motif & 'FUERTE' & makers stamp 'K. KUNTERAGON SHEFFIELD'. Clean blade. Ebony grip with carved Eagle pommel secured with 3 brass rivets. Brass S quillon crossguard. In its leather scabbard. Very good condition overall.
Dirk: a Napoleonic War Period Naval Officers Dirk circa 1800. Locket marked 'BOND 45 CORNHILL' sharply curving blade approx 22" decorated in the style of the period with stand of Arms & Acanthus type scrolling. Brass 'S' quillons one pierced for chain (absent) Lions head back strap & ivory grip. (Age crack to grip). In its brass mounted leather scabbard (chape & locket loose, leather with some crazing). Overall in good condition and will restore well.
Sword: A Caucasian (?) hunting sword 18th/19th century sharply curved blade approx 22". Heavy relief of men hunting with dogs & bow & arrow (could be Indian scene with large cat/lion?) Interesting silver covered grip. This is a very interesting short sword of good quality. The relief scene is very interesting (surface rust but will clean up well) No scabbard. Viewing essential. Japanese Type 32 "KO" Army sword. Blade 32.75". SN: 9301 (no number visible on scabbard drag). Steel bowl guard lacks leather thumb loop. Good blade, grip and scabbard in worn condition. The "KO" model was intended for NCOs & men in the Cavalry. The scabbard has lost its suspension ring and appears to have an 'in the field' copper wire repair. Early numbered Type 32 swords are scarce due to the heavy losses in action during WW2.
Sword: A Naval Officers Spadroon type sword of the Napoleonic Wars? Curved blade 33" with simple etching to blade including a cannon & powder Keg (?) & sword device. Plain brass knucklebow with diamond shaped langets & drooping quillon. Chequered Ebony grip (age cracks). Broad fullered blade culminating in a double edged spear point. A few minor nicks to blade. No scabbard. Light rusting. A very attractive and decorative sword from Nelson's Navy. Viewing recommended.
Sword: A good Turkish Shamshir. Curved ribbed back, chipped back blade 27" approx. Engraved silver coloured langets & quillons with bulbous terminals. Blade with gold (?) decoration. Grip missing with bulbous pommel. This was once a good quality sword, now with parts missing from grip, rusted (surface) overall. Blade with possible repair. This will all clean up well and make a good winter project. No scabbard. a/f
African swords: 1) A good Maasai Seme tribesman's sword in its leather scabbard. Blade 29". Of some age probably 19th century (?). 2) A Maasai Seme tribesman sword. Tapered blade 27". Hide (wood bound hilt). gc. 3) An African (?) short broadsword. Broad tapered blade 20" Blacksmith made 19th century? (3)
Sword: A Cavalry Officers sword circa 1790-1810 possibly Americana? Curved blade 33" (approx). Beautifully decorated with Dragon & Moon/Stars stand of Arms etc. Wirebound wood & leather grip. Brass stirrup hilt with plain backstrap. In its brass mounted leather scabbard (some crazing, stitching good). This is a good sword of the period based on the 1796 pattern.
Sword: A European Cavalry sword. Heavy carved blade approx 32". (Heavy rusting) Triple bar hilt with ribbed wooden grip. No visible markings. Should clean up well when surface rust is removed. Contained in its broad brass mounted leather scabbard (loss of leather to mid section). No markings but of some age. Viewing recommended.
Sword: A good 19th century German short hunting hanger by W.K & C. (Weyertsberg - Kirchbaum & Cie). Etched blade 13.75" with W.K.C logo & huntsman & hunting scenes. Top of blade marked 'G. ECKENHOFF NACHF. BERLIN' Composition Ivory (?) grip with brass acorn inserts. 'D' Knucklebow with hoof finial & clam guard. In its brass mounted leather scabbard with acorn frog stud. A very attractive hunting hanger in collectors grade condition.
Sword: A Continental Sabre of the 19th century. Stirrup hilt with long slim langets & down turned quillon. Wirebound leather grip. Hatchet point blade 32.5". Steel backstrap & pommel. In its heavy steel scabbard with single suspension ring. Good untouched condition (grip a/f in parts) German made, most likely for the Italian Artillery.
