A 19th Century British Naval officer`s sword, much worn blade 28 in., brass hilt of regulation `gothic` form, fouled anchor with QV crown, folding inner part engraved `Lieut E. Stevenson RN`, in an unrelated scabbard; together with the gilt brass mounted leather scabbard for a midshipman`s dirk, the locket with the initials `C.H.J.` (2).
A British 1890 pattern cavalry trooper`s sword, slightly curved blade 33 1/4 in., with single broad fuller to each side and marked `Wilkinson, London`, sheet steel guard with turned over edge and pierced with Maltese Cross decoration, chequered composition grip, steel scabbard with fixed twin suspension rings. (NB original catalogue description reads `1895 pattern` please dis-regard this - it is an 1890 pattern)
