A George V period 1912 pattern cavalry officers sword The 89cm straight single fullered single edged blade with George V cipher, surmounted by the royal coat of arms, stamped number 7725, made by Hawkes & Co 1 Saville Row, London, the solid cup shaped guard with foliate decoration, fish skin grip, leather sword knot, complete with a chrome covered metal scabbard, also the alternative leather covered scabbard complete with a leather sword bag. CONDITION REPORT: Lot 234: Rusting to guard, no wire to grip, wear to grip. Rust and bubbles to top of scabbard, end of leather scabbard looks to have been replaced.

New leather strap. New scabbard. Butt very dented. Some tarnish and pitting to metal fitments.
