C. Ball 5th Loyal N. Lancs, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard. Major S.C. Ball MC served during the Boer War with the City of London Imperial Volunteers and through most of the First War with the 5th Loyal North Lancashire Regiment, winning the MC in 1917.
