French Yataghan sabre sword bayonet of the type used by The Confederate Army. Blade length 57 cm, overall length 70 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is no inscription to the spine. The bayonet and scabbard are in very good condition having been cleaned. The scabbard is tamped “19F”, the blade “13” to the left hand side and a star above a B in an oval and a crown above an M and leaves below in an oval. The crossguard stamped to the right hand side “C144” and to left hand side “D205” and below that “732” and below that “200. There is also an M in a shield shaped lozenge.
French T-Back sword bayonet for use on 11 mm Gras rifle, spine marked "St. Etienne 1876". Blade length 52 cm, overall length 64 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both the scabbard and bayonet are in good order having been recently cleaned. The scabbard is numbered “50319”, the blade with proofs marks - an M in an oval and crown above a castle in an oval. The crossguard is stamped “57025” with further proof marks - M in an oval, crown above a D in an oval.
A 1796 pattern Light Cavalry Officer's sword with shagreen wire grip, plain knuckle guard and engraved blade inscribed 'Brander & Potts', in metal scabbard, overall length 98cm. CONDITION REPORT: No movement to the hilt. See additional images. Some damage and old repair to the very end of the scabbard (please see photos), and some pitting to the blade throughout. Length of blade 85cm, and the blade is not bent.
