The grip is undamaged, but is very slightly lighter on the back side. There is a small dent to the scabbard towards the tip, just above the strapwork and oak leaf decoration. The portapee cord is broken.

Blade has minor grey patching. Plastic grip has a 4.5cm crack running down from the pommel. The metal work of the hilt and scabbard has a yellowy oily film to the surface. The portapee cord has some fraying. The white metal mounts to the hanging straps have a corroded surface and some wear to the green velvet backing
