A 19th Century Indian dagger with ivory mounted handle housed in a leather covered wooden scabbard CONDITION REPORTS In a very worn state. Scabbard has leather missing throughout. Appears to have been repaired at points. The handle is in a state of disrepair. Bone has various chips and cracks, gaps throughout, heavy wear and tear conducive with age and use. The blade itself appears to have been worn in several places as well as discoloured, pitted and rusted. See images for more detail
A Japanese Naval Dirk, the 22.5cm single edge steel blade with a narrow fuller, the brass habaki with an engraved lozenge mark, the brass hilt with recurving crossguard, wire bound same hilt and chrysanthemum decorated pommel, the brown painted metal scabbard with similarly decorated brass mounts, 42.5cm. Edge re-ground. Wear to the brown paint of scabbard. Rayskin grip is grubby and with rough seam.
An 18th Century Persian Shamshir, with 79cm single edge curved wootz blade, steel crossguard with narrow langets and compressed globular quillons, the black leather grip with silver rosettes and snake head pommel, the foliate embossed silver scabbard with steel mounts to the chape and twin suspender bars, 94cm. Black patching to blade at the tip. Steel mounts of poor quality. Damage to backstrap of hilt.
A Shinto Japanese Katana with Special Order Shin-gunto Mounts, the 67.5cm blade with large irregular hamon, bo'hi running for 24cm from the one piece copper habaki, the tang signed ''MUSASHI TARO YASUKUNI'' and ''MA JU GO MAI DO FUKU SAKU'', with parcel gilt bronze tsuba, the yellow braid bound same hilt with triple chrysanthemum head menuki, the prunus decorated copper kashira set with silver family mon, hung with yellow and brown cord and tassels, the browned scabbard with copper mounts matching the hilt, with a later mahogany display stand; together with, oshigata and research material, a hessian label inscribed TAKIYAMA, OFFICER, a leather and red velvet belt and pistol holster richly embroidered with flowerheads and leaves in raised gold bullion thread, and a printed photograph of the surrendering office in a leather folding frame (4) Provenance:- surrendered at Bangkok, Siam on or around 11th January 1946 by a General of the 18th Japanese Army. Blade with hagire 18cm from the tip. Numerous areas of delamination. Braid on hilt is soiled, otherwise good.
A German Third Reich Army Officer's Dagger, the double edge steel blade etched with ORIGINAL Squirrel logo for Eickhorn, Solingen, the tang with billet mark, the aluminium hilt with wrythen fluted orange plastic grip, with pebbled aluminium scabbard and green velvet backed silver lace hanging straps **Acquired at the end of the war by a RAMC medic from a German officer at a camp in Austria . Blade in good clean condition. Generally good condition.
A 19th Century Indonesian Luju Alang, Sumatra, the 53cm machete type blade with a narrow fuller running along the back edge, with white metal collar and bone hulu hilt, the two piece wood scabbard bound with bands of sheet silver, some missing; two Early 20th Century Indian Ornamental White Metal Dhals, with foliate engraved black and brown enamelled decoration, each 27.5 cm diameter (3). Orange rust pitting to part of blade which makes it difficult to remove the scabbard. Tip of scabbard is missing a piece of wood, some silver bands missing, Dhals - Both with general signs of wear commensurate with age but no significant issues.
An 18th Century Indo-Persian Shamshir, with 80cm single edge curved steel blade, the Turkish style gilt copper hilt with lion head pommel, the crossguard with langets set with polished horn roundels and enamel simulating semi-precious stones, the gold velvet covered scabbard with gilded mounts with similar decoration, 102.5cm . Pitting and grey patching to the blade, with a rectangular rust patch towards the tip. Wear to the gilding. Loss of some enamelling.

Blade with overall scattered light rusting. Steel parts to hilt rusted and one wood grip with short crack. Spring release button operative. Steel parts to scabbard with allover light rust.
An Early 19th Century Turkish Yataghan, the blade inlaid in gold with panels of text, possibly from the Koran, with a narrow fuller running along the back edge, the bolster with silver flower studded decoration, the marine ivory earred grip with similarly decorated silver backstrap, the black leather scabbard with coiled metal stitching to the seam, 75cm. Some black patching and minor pitting to the blade. Age cracks to the marine ivory grip. The coiled metal stitching to the scabbard seam is coming undone slightly towards the tip.

Black patching and fine pitting to blade. Hilt lacking wire binding and leather to grip. Orange peel type pitting to scabbard.

Blade has a deep chip to edge 36cm from tip, with some pitting. Fishskin grip has some damage. Lacks scabbard.
A 19th Century Chilean Tax Police Sword, the 76 cm quill back blade etched, ''POLICIA FISCAL, CHILE'', the steel half basket hilt pierced and engraved with a Coat of Arms, ribbed wood grip, the leather scabbard numbered 472 and with twin ring suspensions, 96.5cm. Blade with scattered patches of light corrosion and rusting - possibly repolished - and with evidence of regrinding to edge near tip. Hilt with overall patches of light rust. Scabbard leather limp, some stitching defective and chape detached.

Black patching to blade. Guard is a little wobbly. Leather scabbard has a crease split.

The lacquer to the hilt is worn in places. The scabbard seams are seperating slightly in places.
A Rare 18th Century French Officer's Sabre ''Hongrois'' to the Prince Paul Esterhazy's Hussar Regiment, of Polish type, the blade engraved with a crown over three fleur de lys and further inscribed ''Vive Le Roy'' and ''Regiment d'Esterhazy'', the back edge engraved, ''Berger Marchand Fourbisseur à Strasbourg'', the gilt brass ''L'' shaped hilt with globular quillon to the crossguard, narrow langets and shaped knucklebow, ribbed leather grip, the brass mounted leather scabbard with twin ring suspensions, 111cm. Blade with some rusting and corrosion, now largely cleaned up. Hilt somewhat wobbly. Gilding largely worn. Pommel cap lacking. Scabbard generally good with evidence of wear and tear commensurate with age.
A George V RAF Officer's Sword by Gieves, London, retailed by Moss Bros., the 83.5 cm single-fullered and single edge plated steel blade etched to the obverse with a crowned eagle and with a crest to the reverse, both amongst foliage and vacant panels of battle honours, gilt proved poincon, the gilt brass hilt pierced and cast with a crowned eagle and Royal cypher and stamped number M.106, eagle head pommel and backstrap, wire bound fishskin grip, bullion sword knot, the brass mounted leather scabbard with twin ring suspensions, 99cm. Sword in good condition overall with only minor dings and general light wear. Scabbard with slight scuffing to leather. Several dents to chape. Smaller dents to locket.

Sword good overall. Scabbard with one small dent, otherwise good.
A 19th Century Lock Knife, the blade stamped, ''Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Cutlers to their Majesties, No.6 Norfolk Street, Sheffield, England, twin hatched horn scale grips, 26.5 cm overall, open, original leather sheath, and a Victorian Short Swordstick, fullered square section blade, length 33 cm, cane grip and locking scabbard (2). Lock knife - Blade extreme tip broken. Several small nicks to blade edge. Some wear to plated parts. Mechanism in good working order. Sheath loop broken and lacking, otherwise good. Swordstick - Blade with scattered patches of light rust, but mainly quite bright. Scabbard with small split at top. Tip of scabbard appears to be reduced slightly. Grip with small split at base. General signs of wear.
An 1828 Pattern Scottish Basket Hilt Broadsword by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, the 89cm double edge steel blade with later silver plating, bearing traces of etching and maker's mark, the back edge numbered 34313, with HW poincon, the nickel-plated hilt with wire bound fishskin grip, cushion fluted pommel with remains of red tassel, with scarlet baize and buckskin liner, the plated scabbard with twin ring suspensions, 108.5cm. The later silver plating to the blade has partially obscured the etched decoration and the maker's mark, there is slight wear in parts. Otherwise good.
An Early 19th Century Moroccan/Arab Nimcha (Mahratta Sabre), with 79cm single edge double fullered steel blade, the steel hilt with gold koftgari decoration to the downswept quillons and upswept knuckle guard, with foliate engraved silver ferrule and substantial rhinoceros horn saw handle grip, with leather scabbard, 100cm. Orange rust pitting to the blade and exposed areas of hilt. Two repaired splinter splits to the grip. Some loss of leather to the scabbard, with perished surface.

A 19th Century Caucasian Shashqa, the 77cm single edge curved steel blade with three narrow fullers running along the back edge, finely engraved at the ricasso with formal foliage on a vermicular field, the niello decorated silver bird head hilt with silver wire bound grip, the black leather scabbard with foliate embossed decoration to the silver locket, with fine scalework engraved decoration to the silver suspender ring bands, the steel chape with gold koftgari decoration, 91cm. Black patching to edge of blade. Wire binding of the grip is a little slack. Small dents to silver locket of scabbard, with wear to the koftgari decoration on the chape.

M3 I5, the brass hilt with recurving crossguard stamped 1831 BH AG, with ribbed pistol grip, the pommel pierced, with brass mounted leather scabbard, 71.5cm . Blade is good. Small dings to hilt and bruising to leather scabbard.

Nicks to edge of blade at the tipWear to paint on scabbard and hilt. Tsuba a little wobbly.
A Good Late 18th Century Indian Shamshir, with 75.5cm single edge curved Wootz blade, the green jade hilt carved with a stiff leaf collar, the pommel carved as a ram's head with gold backed eyes, one set with a ruby, the cast silver crossguard with green and blue foliate champleve enamelled decoration, with ram's head quillons, the gold velvet covered scabbard embroidered with foliage in bullion wire thread and with champleve enamel twin suspender bands and chape, 92.5cm Footnote: Possibly made under the influence of Claude Martin of the Lucknow Arsenal. Pommel with only one ruby set eye. Pitting to blade, a nick and rust patching at the tip. Small areas of enamel loss. Some perishing and damage to the velvet scabbard where the locket would have been.

Some black patching and pitting to the blade. Age cracks and chips to the marine ivory grip, Numerous small dents to the brass mounts of the scabbard.

Minor black patching to blade. Some wear to the gold koftari and enamelling on the hilt and scabbard mounts. Velvet pile of the scabbard is very worn, with some loss of fabric. Generally in good condition.

An 1828 Pattern Scottish Basket Hilt Broadsword, the 87cm 18th century steel blade engraved to both sides with martial trophies and with a hatched medieval cross within an ornamental frame, with single central fuller, the hilt of traditional form with cushion fluted pommel, the unusual ivory grip carved with a fish, insect, leaves and berries, lacks scabbard, 101cm. The blade, which is earlier than the hilt, has significant rust and corrosion in patches. Some evidence of regrinding to one edge in particular. Hilt with rusting and corrosion. Grip with numerous cracks and splits to ivory and small areas of staining.
A George V 1897 Pattern Infantry Officer's Sword, the 81.5 cm, single edge fullered steel blade etched to both sides with the Royal cypher between panels of foliage, numbered 1619 to the back edge and with gilt proved poincon, the steel hilt pierced and cast with the Royal cypher, wire bound fishskin grip, remains of leather sword knot, leather-covered service scabbard and frog, 100.25cm. Some patches of corrosion and pitting near tip of blade. Otherwise light overall rusting. Hilt similar. Leather knot incomplete. Stitching to frog and scabbard split. Considerable scuffing, wear and staining to leather.
